wired the S-AFC II into the wiring harness.
Yep... Waiting on a wideband now
It's just the stock bumper. That's my dad's Ram Charger that he's had for fuckall years, the one I drove for 6 months before I owned my own streetable car after getting my license.
It's a retired California Forest Patrol vehicle.
I installed some reverse glow LED gauges in my T-Bird, put in a gauge pod with transmission temp and voltage gauges, and started installing a B&M Hammer Shifter.
So today i slaved over my car for a few hours, cleaned every crevice i could (don't think anyone wants me to link them over here, you can see the pics in the pics of your car thread). Never seen it looking this pretty before, considering the obvious. Also the seal inbetween the radiator cap mount and thermostat failed so i unbolted it and jerry rigged that shit with some thermostat gasket sealer, don't see why it won't hold but I'll keep an eye on it. Sprayed coolant all over my engine bay when it failed so everything looks like shit now, all white and whatnot, but i topped the coolant off and all seems good so far. Haven't really driven it yet except for around the block though so hey.
So i fixed the leak inbetween the thermo mount and rad cap mount, but now the rad cap itself is leaking, and it's literally brand fucking new, not even a month old...So I'm thinking maybe I'll put the old one back on (It looked too big, which is why i replaced it and got the one that was "Meant" for my car, but now it's too small and coolant is leaking out the sides so..) and see what happens...Idk, it's just coolant but every little leak makes me sad and i feel like I've gotta fix it so. The engine isn't overheating, and the thermostat itself is brand new as well, bought it with the rad cap, not even a month old, so idk what else it could be really.
Was just putting my shoes and socks on to go put the old radiator cap on the car before it got to late and remembered...
I threw it away when i replaced it.
Shitfuck.
[editline]1st January 2012[/editline]
So, any ideas to make it stop leaking? Short of buying a new one since that obviously didn't work the first time.
I installed an audio jack in my center console. I feel so proud of myself. I can now play my iPod properly in my 21 year old mercedes :) I'm installing USB ports in a week or two to supply power. Going to replace the fender in a bit as well. Need to replace the cigarette lighter. It is really loose.
bought fog lights
bigger mirror
initial d cupholder
so jdm
i need a cupholder
my cupholder is this flimsy piece of plastic that folds out from the center console

I understand this :/
So i drove to a job interview a good 6 miles away and when i shut the car off i noticed some steam coming up from my hood. Took a look and saw coolant oozing out of the rad cap all down the side of my engine block. So after said interview i headed home and took another good look to see what the fuck was going on, and saw, finally, where it was actually coming from. Picture should explain it.

So yeah. Gonna go see if i can find a replacement, hopefully someone carries it.
Oh, ouch. Hopefully that's not a dealer item. Sometimes little bits like that can be hard to pick up at a parts house. Good luck mang.
Doesn't look like anyone carries it so far but mazdatrix, and it's $45 for the piece and another 5 for the oring, plus however much more for shipping...hm
[editline]dfh[/editline]
And $60 at the dealership.

my center console is held together by stickers and superglue
turboboostleaktester.com got nice boostleaktester for every size of inlet (even unconventionnal like my ct-26 upgraded). Can't wait for it to get home and test the crap outta ma intake system
Is that an ad?
HE'S AN ADBOT OH GOD
Is that an ad?
obviously because I found a cheap and effective boostleak tester that seem well made and will save me countless of hours chasing boostleak, it must mean that this is a ad... I am, by no mean, sharing the avaiability of those product for anyone with FI that might need it
No I mean, I just thought it was an ad.
Like, it even has the same layout that quite a few adbots use.

Fuck
Why'd I think it was a good idea to spray the lower part of my Subaru with bedliner?
That shit DOES NOT sand off D:
Not sure where to go now. Gonna try sanding with harsher sand paper tomorrow, if that doesn't work.. not sure where I'll go from there
do the whole car.

Pretty much gotta go down to bare metal now. You'll never get a smooth surface.
Try sandblasting it... I think that would be the most time efficient out of everything.
Walnut blasting, plastic blasting, blasting! I don't know much about blasting but I know it's a blast!
replaced alternator/serpentine belt, battery, spark plugs and tried to track down the battery cables for my car but there special order OEM parts and no one stocks them. so for now my car is pretty much undrivable as the cables are so bad it's not charging :suicide:
I worked on putting out the fire in the basement and getting my pets outside today
Also I washed the interior of the Golf and put on new coolant.
I adjusted my ebrake so there's no button.
Infinite sliding.
