what happens when you mix in too much hardener and just overall use too much putty:
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5698103/IMG_20120107_141338.jpg[/img_thumb]
put down way too much putty to use, put down way too much hardener, mixed it together, put down my first spread on the roof of the car, smoothed it out, when to grab some more putty and it was hard as a rock ):
what a waste
sigheheheheh
I (the guys at the repair shop) got (me) two new rear tires, wiper blades, and a much needed battery. I wish I could do something to my car, but it's destined to be an ordinary economy class car. 2009 Ford Focus SE. Laugh all you want, you bastards.
while waiting for my battery cables (damn things were like finding a needle in a haystack). I got bored and pulled my driver side fender off and fixed the crease/dent in it and sanded/bondo'd it. I'll proably post pics later if i remember
got the bvsv valve I broke from pick n pull and then proceeded to have it break in the same place as the old one when I was installing it. god DAMNIT
It's not much, but I removed the buzzer for the ignition in my truck that is there so someone with no brain wouldn't forget their keys in it. That little bastard was so goddamn irritating, and the truck is so much better without it.
My camry beeps at you until you buckle your seat belt / get off the seat so I just stand up when I have the door open and the keys in for some reason (usually cleaning the back seat with the radio on)
Changed my oil and oil filter.
Put an o2 sensor in my downpipe. Now I need to get proper terminals to connect it to my harness! No female bullet connectors, wire nut'd it together for now.
Also need a vacuum check valve for my MAP.
Also, really debating trying to shovel this purple car off on someone tog et the money I need rather than selling my CRX Si. I don't know. I'm just tired of getting bogus offers, and the purple civic is pissing me off.
Who wants to buy a civic that needs a timing belt put back on to run? I took it off to put the deflector behind the crank pulley and it needs put together now to run and drive. :s
I wish i had the funds to buy a civic to tool around with. I don't really want to start tearing into my civic because a) I would be learning on it, and b) it is in good shape and i would just ruin it.
Changed a reverse light and a fog light, and passed 15 mins trying to make the car idle without dying :v:

It's fucking ugly, but I love it :v:
I'd so drive that to work, it would look so out of place in the UK.

cheap cheap cheap bro
$400
I swear if someone brought me $400 I'd hand them the title to this thing
Installed fogs/grille. Replaced the front brakes. Forgot to ziptie one of my ballasts up where it should be in the engine bay and ran it over as I backed out of the drive... luckily it's a tough motherfucker and didn't take any fatal damage.

Polishing up some shitty cheap wheels to throw on my CRX with brand new tires.
Trying to make them *somewhat* good looking.

Not even trying really. Just using a soft wire wheel and blasting the shit out of the face with them. They're all rashed up so it is cleaning the scratches up as good as it can and giving it a nice polish finish. And if I decided to paint them it'd make for a good surface.
*shrug* they'll make good winter wheels.
Get Autosol Chrome Polish
= Best result
(even if your not *really* trying)
I'm not using anything on them.
Which is a lot cheaper than buying anything.
(I don't give a shit)
But that looks worse then before ..

If you think dull ass aluminum scuffed up shit looks good you have awful taste.

I'm not driving around with rims that have bigass ugly scars like that on them. That's why I polished them out with a soft wire wheel, gives them a nice machined look and takes out some of the nicks/imperfections.
Keep in mind that's not a before/after. That's one wheel I already polished next to one I haven't -- They aren't all identical, two of them have fuckhard rash around the edge, the one I polished in that picture is one of them (I'm sure you'll see it).

I'd just throw a quick coat of paint on them. You've pretty much prepped them as it is.
I thought about it but can't think of a good color to paint them. They're awful wheels.
I don't think Eagle Alloy made anything appealing.
Black always works. Or white. I don't particularly care for all those abstract colors on wheels anyways. (Red, Yellow, Blue, etc.)
I thought about doing them black with a red line where the bead lip is, but the bead is so rashed ona couple that it'd look kind of silly.

Also my radius arm on the left side has a lot of play. I need to look at that tomorrow.
acquired myself some nice wheels/tires

Dirty as hell but who cares, it's winter for the supra ATM

Water temp gauge because if I want to track that car, I dont wan't to risk a BHG

One piece aluminium driveshaft, because fuck the heavy ass two piece oem

Got the Cobra on jackstands, in the garage. It started up right away, and has a tick that sounds to be 1/2 of engine speed. It changes little in speed depending on RPM. Im starting to think that it is the timing chain casessetes. If it is, its a $300ish fix. BUT, my dad is selling his Terminator next year, and possibley ordering me a fully forged shortblock.

L O V E those wheels. Going to look nice on the Supra.
I just pulled the gas tank out of my '72 grand prix, Im in the process of restoring it. Checked inside, luckily no rust in the tank! I sanded the outside of it and painted rust-neutralizing black paint. Sender has to be fixed up a bit, im also looking around for an electric fuel pump for inside the gas tank.
Just bought some nice rockers for it too, im building a 455 engine for it.
I'm trying to work as much as possible on it

Was wondering actually, sorry to quote you again, what Advans are those and do they come in 4x100?
And, are they hefty or thin shit like Rotas? After rolling on some Rota Slips for a while I really dislike the cheap, thin aluminum that the wheels feel like they are made of.
[editline]11th January 2012[/editline]
I really think bronze wheels are the next thing I'm going to go for on the Rex.
[editline]11th January 2012[/editline]
nvm found them myself lol
Advan RG, and they do come in 4x100
[img]http://images.hoodbiz.org/nlarge/white_brand_new_in_box_21273169.jpg[/img]
I like! Don't know if they are available new anymore though, seems they were replaced with the RG2 and RG-D series.
I was about to reply, but since you found them.
those are 5x114.3 ADVAN RG 17x8.5, 17x9.5
with some nitto nt-05 on them.
They are quite expensive when bough new because they are low weight and somewhat, a decent quality.
Another question, will the OEM wheel nut I have fit on those? or will I have to buy another set?
OEM wheel nuts will work. I reccomend using a thin socket so the socket doesn't slip past the nut and damage the actual face of the wheel, that way if the socket can slip over the nut (the nut doesn't have like a "lip" at the base to stop the socket) it will only rub on the lug hole face.
I had to do the same with my rota slips.
Nitto NT-05's huh? Those are nice. I wonder if they come in a 205/50R15. I'd like to find some 15s for my CRX, I like the 14s because I have 14s out the ass but 15s look so much better. I think the next set of rims I'm going to get will be white, though. I'm not really finding much in bronze that I enjoy.
dunno about 205, I got 255/40/17 at the front and 275/40/17 at the rear.
My oem nut have a lip. Thanks, I will do with those ugly wheel nut until I'm done with my college classes
