Go go Edinburgh
She could be unsure of how to deal with her feelings for you or your feelings for her. She could be shy, or she could just want to be friends.
Yeah, I think she feels very conflicted at the moment based on some of the stuff she's posted on tumblr. She's still pretty upset about everything going on with her break-up from what I can see, but I never told her anything that would make her uncomfortable past the fact that I kind of like her. Regardless, I can tell she wants to move on from her old relationship, but she really can't because she's just not emotionally ready.
It seems like space is really the only thing I can give her at the moment. It sucks, because it's hard to actually do things as friends, but it is what it is.
i've still not seen it (somehow) but i'd almost definitely say it's worth the money, though it's not that cheap. everybody i know who's seen it says it's amazing, and the west end would definitely be a great place to see it.
places you should definitely try to visit
1. westminster!
2. trafalgar square
3. camden
4. leicester square
5. covent garden

These places are great, took my girlfriend there when we went to London. Regent Park is also really nice, as is Selfridges.
Covent Garden is the SHIT oh my god go there
Is there anything you could make together? A meal that can be made by two people? I once made a homemade pizza with a friend, we had a lot of fun.
I once had this girl over and I tried to be a man and cook for her romantically. Kinda ended up with me handing her ingredients while she did the actual cooking.
I am a failure to all of men.

Did you have a good time?
If so it's irrelevant.

I thought we did and she said she did but apparently she now only sees me as a friend, even though she already knew I liked her back when she herself proposed to come over, have dinner and watch a movie together.

You wound me, Funion.
I only cook easy things. Like pasta with some sort of sauce chucked in, or oven food, or burgers. I like cooking steak cause it's so easy but it costs too much

Same. Never cooked steak though.
And in all fairness, most 'expensive' and 'high-class' food tastes like shit to me anyway. I'd rather have a good and easy spaghetti then something with a french name that tastes like dogshit.
To keep on-topic; I guess I like my women the same way I like my food.

on my end i prefer women with class like that french food you hate
also how do you not like filet mignon?
on my end i prefer women with class like that french food you hate

In the case I described, class wouldn't weigh heavy enough for me to find it more important than the taste (metaphorically speaking). Not sure if that makes sense anymore.
In other words; I'd rather have a sweet and loving girlfriend who doesn't have a lot of class in clothing (not latest fashion etc) and a p low reputation than an uptight and bitchy girlfriend who dresses nicely and has a reputation to be cool and hot and all that jazz.
Just my opinion though, tastes differ.
Well I never tried to imply that all french 'classy' food tastes like dogshit. Of course there's some amazing stuff out there. It was just an example. And yeah, Filet mignon is pretty fucking delicious (if we have the same idea of filet mignon).
PS: This is a nice thread, I think I'll stay here for a while.
"uptight and bitchy" doesn't really equate to being seen as "cool and hot and all that jazz"
but i can see what you're saying; you'd rather have the nice, slightly weird, strangely dressed girl than the bitchy one who looks amazing but cares about little else than that.
but i think most people would prefer that, at least most people that you'll find around here. of course there are people who just want the trophy girlfriends, but that doesn't seem to be many facepunchers
I only cook easy things. Like pasta with some sort of sauce chucked in, or oven food, or burgers. I like cooking steak cause it's so easy but it costs too much
I like to cook casserole. Looks fancy as shit and seems as though it takes tons of effort. It doesn't.
Simple beef sausage and apple casserole I like best:
~500g cheap steak
~500g sausages
2 med green onions
1 stock cube
some celery
2 med apples
1 bottle of cider (I use katies dry cider for best effect)
2 carrots
Chop up the steak and sausages, fry them, roll in flour. Get a caserole pot, chop and prep veg and throw it all in the pan with 1 pint of stock and about 1/4 of the cider bottle. Cook for a few hours (the longer the better, the sauce should be fairly thick)
Serve with mash and peas or just some bread rolls. Bloody amazing.
For best results source meat from a local butcher or better still all ingredients from a local market.

Yeah, wasn't meaning to say that uptight and bitch equals to that other stuff, just trying to make a point. Glad it came across anyhow, despite my disgracefull attempt at bringing it cleverly.
And agreed, makes sense anyhow.
By the way; What do you guys think about 'bigger' girls? Not in my taste at all personally, I'm just wondering on the global vision here. All I know is that fat people having sex makes MaverickIB throw up, or so he claimed some time ago.

I don't hate on the people who want to get with them, but to me they're incredibly unattractive. It shows a disregard for their health and appearance, even if the girl doesn't feel that way, that's how it looks. But yeah the majority of guys aren't at all into fat girls. It also depends on how fat of course, a little chubby isn't bad but fat to obese is gross to me.

"bigger" is pretty vague.
Girls taller than me (6 foot) no thanks.
Girls heavier than me (12 stone) no thanks.
Otherwise they deserve consideration on their own merits. Nobody is perfect.

Isn't that likewise vice-versa, or am I speaking gibberish?

Nothing wrong with chubby, agreed. In fact I prefer a little bit chubby above really skinny.

Sorry, was mostly focussing on the bigger weigth.
I don't really like girls being taller than me either though. Probably hurts my ego-centered supremacy factor.

Pretty much everyone carries a few extra pounds - not a problem. Fat though I agree - if she looks more likely to be harpooned than anything else, it's a no-go.
I hate stupid girls

stupid people are stupid people; their gender doesn't matter

i hate misogynists too

my girlfriend is a little overweight but she isnt fat by any means
besides its not like she's a hambeast who eats all the time or anything, she just literally cant exercise due to asthma
[editline]3rd July 2012[/editline]
also why do people not like taller girls how is that a problem at all
in fact its p hot
I hate stupid girls
I hate stupid posts.
Mother has suggested I write a letter to my Ex to help find my closure. That way I can say everything I need to say without interruption or distraction.
also why do people not like taller girls how is that a problem at all

because it can look a little silly to have a tall woman with a shorter man, and i think generally speaking it's in males nature to want to be the more dominant partner (in the most basic sense), hence wanting to be the taller one

I hate to say it, but yeah I do kinda prefer to be the taller one. Lets me feel more... capable of protecting them? Is that the right phrase?
I dunno, makes kisses cuter too cause they have to get on their tiptoes sometimes and its just all fdnaskjvnbcesknfD'AWWWW
Your mother has great ideas. I wish I could've done that for closure, I instead spent months wishing I wasn't so socially awkward, but I did get over my ex ex eventually.
My only worry is whether or not she'll even read it, or if it'll go from mailbox to recyclebox
It doesn't matter, either way you will have said all you feel you need to.

exactly! i'm a short girl and i love it, like you said there's something about feeling protected that's just really lovely, so i much prefer taller guys to medium/short ones. and when (good) friends hug me they tend to pick me up, and that's pretty awesome
don't get me wrong, being tall can be very attractive for a woman, especially if she's (fairly) slender, as they normally have beautiful long legs. but i don't want to be average, and i'm glad i ended up on the short side than the tall side
