Who gives a crap anyway? I hate this atheism fanaticism.
I do. It's important to me considering past relationships I've had with "believers" and "spiritualists. Having a partner that shares my ideology actually makes me happy, is that such a bad thing?
Not really, perhaps it is my fault because everyone here around is not that religious. It is just that this debate is sometimes so annoying and unnecessary.
How would my religious views interfere with a relationship unless I try and put my opinions on her / she tries to do the same?
How would my religious views interfere with a relationship unless I try and put my opinions on her / she tries to do the same?
A friend of mine at Uni spent an evening at a club chatting with a girl, quite attractive and all, they got talking and shortly left together. We're all thinking; "Good on him" Little did we know, she was a crazy Evangelical and all he got was a talk on her doorstep about Jesus Christ our lord and Saviour, a pat on the shoulder and a thanks for the walk home.
How would my religious views interfere with a relationship unless I try and put my opinions on her / she tries to do the same?
Ive had issues with religious girls before. I remember one girl I was with briefly was big on the whole "masturbation is a sin" thing so instead she would give me HJs to keep me from doing it. I don't think she fully understood the concept :v:
if my girlfriend told me to not drink, smoke or do drugs in general, i would tell her to shut up. i love her, but it's my own choice.
i would say sure to the drugs part, a hopefully most people value their partners more than drugs [editline]14th July 2012[/editline]
yeah, i've been thinking the same thing. forbidding to your partner from doing such stuff is childish.
potentially life or health threatening things is different. also forbidding might be a bit much but asking them not to do them is fair enough.

If someone values drugs over their partner, I foresee problems in their relationship.
Something that made me suspicious a while back: I was working a basketball camp with a few teammates and we were all staying in one of the schools apartments. My girlfriend had stayed in my room for a day because she came up to see me. One of the players who was sharing the apartment with me came in to my room while I was in there looked around in the doorway for a few seconds and said "oh hey josh didn't know you were in here" This leads me to believe two things; he was gonna try to steal something of mine or he was gonna hit on my girlfriend if she was there by herself if I was away (knowing him)

beat the shit out of him obviously
Woop woop! I got over my ex. It's been 2 months since I've talked to her or seen her. I'm feeling a bit happier because of it.
Went on a rant about religion today. Was talking about why I liked being an atheist when my girlfriend told me that she's an atheist too. Win?
the other day me and my girlfriend were talking about being an atheist (me) and being a Satanist (her), i thought being satanic was pretty silly until she explained it, we bonded quite a bit
It's no big deal he's a grade below me so after that he's gonna be nowhere near my living quarters
but if she was being childish about it, then i would tell her to shut up.
i think thats a lot more childish dude.
It's no big deal he's a grade below me so after that he's gonna be nowhere near my living quarters
Why don't you just ask him what he was going to do in your room?
i think thats a lot more childish dude.
maybe not exactly telling her to shut up, but you get my point
is there any proper way to approach somebody online, even if it's just for a chat? like, say you had a friend with a friend on facebook that was a total dime. is there any way to contact her without looking like a common douchebag?

Think for yourself... How can you not be the common douchebag?

No. Getting your friend to introduce you in real life? Yes.
personally I only use messengers and other online stuff as an introduction for meeting the person in real life. Saves a lot of trouble. For approaches doesn't work that good.
There's a way. Think for yourself... How can you not be the common douchebag?
he asks how not to come off as a douchebag, you tell him to think for himself of how not to come off as a douchebag. do you understand the purpose of advice? that's like hiring a lawyer and saying "how do I convince them the manslaughter wasn't my fault?" and your lawyer just looking at you and saying "There's a way. Think for yourself... How can you convince them the manslaughter wasn't your fault?" people ask for advice because, presumably, they've tried thinking for themselves and they can't fucking figure it out and would like some help. tl;dr you're retarded

it's not just muslim girls. i hear about christian girls doing it all the time.

How can I reach you?" Exchange numbers and take it from there, etc. How to start that conversation exactly? Yeah, I don't really know either, I fucking hate Facebook chat, but just be honest and casual about it. If they post a status or something which you have an opinion on, comment, they might reply, whatever, then just continue it on chat. "I still can't believe that x!", "Do you seriously think that y?", "The last time I saw z it was whatever." I DUNNO I THINK YOU GET THE POINT. If you're not even friends with them in the first place though then that's kinda awkward, as you'd have to pretty much admit to stalking their profile, but it can work in your favour if you're just honest about it, "I don't usually do this but I saw your profile from <mutual friend's> and you seem pretty cool, <something from her profile which made you think she was worth messaging fuck I don't know>." If you're just stalking friends of friends solely because you think they're hot though then you're probably better off trying to meet people irl.

Man, sometimes my girlfriend gets really butthurt when I make some jokes, which are absolutely harmless. Well that in my opinion, then she gets all mad at me for no reason, I did not meant to hurt anyone.
