Nah, just had similar experience
Also been in high school long enough to understand it.
being in high school long enough doesn't mean shit, sorry.
Also been in high school long enough to understand it.
That's comical.
Then they aren't your friends. People seem to misuse the term friend a lot I think. A friend is someone you can talk about the most meaningful subjects to you that others wouldn't care about. A friend is someone that actively wants to associate themselves with you rather than just sort of not caring. Anyone else is really an acquaintance. And that's similar to what I want to find in the girl that I"m going out with. I want to have someone that I can connect and talk with and care for at even a higher level than my two really good friends.
A friend is someone you consider a friend, don't try and make uniform entry requirements. I have a group of friends and I couldn't talk about important personal issues with every single one of them. That doesn't mean that they're not my friends though, some just aren't so interested or close to me to talk to about that kind of thing.
. Worst idea ever. Trust me.
Why is it bad at all? Even if they don't end up getting along, it's helpful for your girl/boyfriend to meet your friends so that your countless discussions and stories about them can be at least somewhat meaningful. Otherwise it may as well boil down to 'You'll never believe what Person A did today! He fell in a puddle ... which is significant because he doesn't like water much'.
I said that because pretty girls usually doesn't ask out a boy.

your girlfriend asked you out? Is she even pretty? also really dont introduce her to your friends if they are not shy as you. Even i do not introduce my girlfriend to all my friends
[editline]6th February 2012[/editline]
a lot of friendly mockeries from your buddies thus they followed our every move so its really not worth it
You seem to have a pretty superficial grasp on relationships and the opposite sex. And I think she's beautiful. But she told me it took her a lot of courage and help from her friends to be able to ask me out. Seeing as really neither of us talk at all in our classes. Though I was the one who approached her at first.
So I have a girl friend and I'm not looking forward to Valentines Day
Bad sign?
I feel like I'm in this relationship purely because I don't want to be alone and I don't want to hurt her feelings for breaking up with her.

Break up the day of Valentine. Give her a bouquet of flowers with a letter saying "We're done. I am breaking up with you."
It'll be the best.

if its not a huge deal to you, you might as well have a nice valentines day with her, but if its a big problem then you should break it off before the 14th
if its not a huge deal to you, you might as well have a nice valentines day with her, but if its a big problem then you should break it off before the 14th
I figure I have to do that. I don't have the heart to ruin her Valentines day. And I can't break up with her afterwards immediately or I'll be that guy who "broke up with her three days/a week after valentines day!"
But it's hard to break up with her because she's so attached to me but I feel like we're complete opposites. I mean, sex was good enough but that doesn't really mean anything so I need to stop thinking with my penis. She lives an hour away and I haven't seen her in awhile because I work and it's $30+ per trip in gas.
Like, I don't feel any connection. She's this wild liberal, into politics, believes in Occupy, smokes drugs, does shrooms, has a crazy family and stuff and I just don't know how we started dating aside that we were probably both alone. I'm like a conservative, I hate politics, I don't drink, don't smoke, disapprove of most recreational drugs and would never do them and I have a very stable lifestyle.
But how do you even break up with someone? I did it once before and she just made me feel bad and pressured me until I gave in and got back together with her. I feel bad making her so upset so I couldn't just let go.

sounds like you can both learn from each other
sounds like you can both learn from each other
Elaborate.
you just need to be a little more open minded about that stuff, really. there's no real good reason to disapprove of shrooms out of hand in particular, they're not particularly harmful (at least, compared to cigs and alcohol)
[editline]7th February 2012[/editline]
and you should give a shit about politics, it's your damn future, your country, and your quality of life at stake

I have opinions in politics I just don't want to talk about them with her because they're the exact opposite and it'd only make us fight or resent one another.
As for an open mind I didn't mind her doing pot I guess, I just didn't want to smell it or have her bring it in my car. As for the shrooms I just think it's a ridiculous thing to do, especially because I was working 6 days a week, I come home at 4AM and she's tripping out of her mind. I didn't know it was her, I thought her friend was playing a prank on me but she was really just out of her mind. And I don't like drinking either but she was going to do whatever she wanted so I just let it happen.

it's like a wacky sitcom!!
outside of any political discourse, i applaud you for you wanting to make it work regardless of politics.
i mean i personally couldn't date or even sleep with a conservative. it just doesn't work, the whole mechanical engine breaks down there.

To be fair you probably have the wrong impression of a conservative. Like Facepunch bad.
I'm an atheist, I believe in gay rights and I'd reelect Obama (because all the Republicans running right now are fucking idiots)
I just believe in different approaches to government and social issues. Hence why I hate the Occupy movement, but I digress.

eh, as long as nothing gets too heated I'm fine with discussing political stuff with my girlfriend (then again we share almost every single motherfucking view on everything ever, right up to and including fringe shit like transhumanism (SERIOUSLY HOW DID I FIND THIS GIRL) - so I'm not one to preach)
I need to find things that my girlfriend vehemently disagrees with me on (that aren't stupid views to hold) and debate about it with her :D

nah I don't get it, are you saying that I'm trying to force my views on him or something, because I said they should learn from each other, not "she's right, you're an idiot"
