let her go. it won't be easy, but it really is what you need to do
she cheated on you for two years. two years!
then remove her from your life
for someone to cheat for that long without confessing, that's someone not worth keeping around in your life
it still sucks what happened to you man
I did, showed her the best day i could, cooked breakfast for her, went to the movies, went to a restaurant then on the beach at night i proposed to her and she told me all of it right there. I said what i said and i left. Gave her money for a cab and just walked off, i could hear her crying too.
Two years? You should break up with her. Yell at her and other things. Man the fuck up, if she cheated on you then she is not worthy of getting married to. The fact that you still tried to marry her makes you a fucking pushover. Take charge, let her out of your life.
Late

respect goes to you for handling the whole thing incredibly well
I wouldn't have gave her money for the cab. You went through all that trouble for that proposal.

Well sir, extra great points to you if you won't have any following breakdown.
Damn, SSB. I can only imagine how devastating that must be.
You've got my sympathy. :[

That said, it sounds like you handled the situation very respectably. Paying her cab fare was a good thing to do. Many people would probably agree that it was better than she deserved, but that you still would do something nice for her after she hurt you that badly speaks volumes as to your character. I don't know that I could have done the same in that position.

Well he's not an asshole, clearly.

do you look like brick tamland from anchorman irl
There's probably a fair bit of difference between loving lamp and jizzing all over one
Well he's not an asshole, clearly.
The girl cheated on him for TWO fuckin' years. If you would still be kind to a girl like her than you have no pride or dignity at all, not to mention it makes you a fucking push over.
no not really, being angry about it is just a waste of energy
forget and move on
no not really, being angry about it is just a waste of energy

There is nothing wrong with being mad over the fact that the love of you're life that you was gonna purpose to turns out was cheating on you for 2 years.
i didn't say it was wrong, it's just a waste of time
i was in the same position and i was in such a state of fuck-it i couldn't even be bothered to be angry
i just stayed at home and watched Peep Show for two days
Hell you could say all emotions are a waste of energy, doesn't mean you shouldn't have them.
that's not even what i said omg
read my username; it doesn't say Seith.
so obviously i wouldn't say a certain emotion is "wrong" or all emotions are a waste of energy.

So basically you are a push over? No matter how much somebody has wronged you, you just go "Oh well".
So basically you are a push over? No matter how much somebody has wronged you, you just go "Oh well".
yes i'm a push over and it doesn't matter how much someone would wrong me, i will always go "oh well".
another open and shut case Mr. Holmes, i don't know how you do it.

Then please explain it more. It's just what it sounds like to me but if there's more to it than by all means enlighten me.
Could always passive-aggressively pay for her cab. Prove you're the bigger man by forgiving her, thus deepening her shame, and winning some small revenge. Julius Caesar would have forgiven her. Julius Caesar probably would have bought her the cab. You want to be like Julius Caesar, don't you? He was the emperor of Rome. He got stabbed by, like, thirty people. You don't get stabbed by thirty people unless you've really made an impact.
Then please explain it more. It's just what it sounds like to me but if there's more to it than by all means enlighten me.
in this specific case, being angry or upset doesn't do or change anything. having an outlet for your emotions is great, but you won't do anything except upset the other person.
it's just pointless, that's all, and being angry has bad effects on your blood pressure and nervous system.
In honesty, why would you view compassion as weakness? You sound like a comic book villain, plotting against the peaceful mountain monks. Paying for the lady's cab was the right thing to do. Showing kindness after being so unforgivably used must be terribly difficult, but to have the fortitude to pull it off is seriously impressive.
Even Jesus preached that whole "turn the other cheek" thing, and he's generally regarded as one of the most swell dudes in history.

this is a smart man right here i listen to his advice and now my life is complete
What would the Dalai Lama do?
What would the Dalai Lama do?
cheating on the dalai lama
i don't think you could get worse Karma than that

Actually holding everything inside is worse off for you. I used to do that and I almost killed somebody for something they did 3 years ago.
Not paying for her cab will not effect your blood pressure or nervous systems. like Big Dumb American says it like a small revenge. It's not like i'm saying he should have punch her in the face or something.
Actually holding everything inside
i never said hold everything inside
ya problem vinny is that you don't fuckin listen
Sometimes turning the other cheek isn't the best thing to do, sometimes you got to stand up for yourself. He did do the right thing though, I agree about that.
Bleh, what the hell am I arguing about I don't even know.
This is exactly what I'm saying. I just said I wouldn't have payed for her cab ride. She should have found her own way home without help from the man she royally fucked up.
Paying for her cab just seems so unnecesary to me. Why would you? Because its seen as chivalrous to pay for the woman? Don't get me wrong i'm all for being polite (when its someone who actually gives a damn about you and isn't fucking you over), but after she'd been cheating on him this just doesn't add up. It screams of being a submissive pushover.
