How common is for chicks to (ab)use you for a car?
It's happened to me. Tell her where to stick it. Even if the sex is pretty good. Sex will not put petrol in your car :(
took him a long time to feel abused....
Well for the first 3 or so years he couldn't drive, so they had a normal functional relationship. Then he learnt to drive and what became the odd "can you pick us up, we're at ***?" became a more "You can pick us up right? I told the girls you would" to everything.
Okay guys, morality question for you.
Long time friend just broke up with her boyfriend of 2 months to be with me.
Am I a bad person?
I guess you didn't do anything wrong, did you?
Two months isn't very long.
I guess you didn't do anything wrong, did you?
No but it was her conversations with me that lead to them breaking up. Note that I never actually told her to break up with him, I simply told her I couldn't be with her if she was with another person.

you didn't really do anything wrong...
it's only 2 months, he'll get over it.

So you just made it clear that you don't want to be in a relationship that consists of cheating on someone.
And then she broke up with her boyfriend to be with you.
Quit being a bitch about it and enjoy what you got.
Just got a long text from the ex basically saying shes already jealous about the next girl im going to date? What am i supposed to interperet from this? interpret? I deleted the text and put my phone away to prevent me from texting her back. Should i reply?

kate winslet's a pretty great actress i don't give a fuck what anyone says
One of my friends started to REALLY like me recently. It started when I got to this damn rehab program and shes become one of my best friends. I know that she considers me one of her best friends, but we flirt a lot cause shes into the same kinky shit that I am. The real problem is that she has a boyfriend. They're in a really open relationship but its confusing as fuck. I live 2000 thousand miles away and I suppose it doesn't matter in the end, but I feel kinda... invasive? Ive asked her about it and she says it doesn't matter but I dunno. We videochatted on tiny chat, she named the room "Iloveyou" and posted a status on facebook "I love (my name) <3333333333333" I love her a lot, but it feels weird sometimes. Thoughts/Advice? Im lost
my advice is get help, not rehab
my advice is get help, not rehab
Its not quite a rehab program, but that's the simplest way to explain it. I guess its more like a halfway house for the mentally compromised.

Go get her, Tiger!
Wait.
Unless she is a Tiger, with orange hair and all!
i used to have orange hair but i'm too lazy to dye it again
it was awesome though, except for all the fifth element remarks

well, that's a bit creepy.
she's going to lose interest in you as abruptly as she fell for you, the fact that she's posting things like "i love shoe" on her facebook when she has a boyfriend already should be an indication.
Orange Hair Girl turned out to be one of the new members of my club. Cool coincidence! She seemed a bit ill-at-ease throughout, but that might've had somethin' to do with the resident "big edgy comedian," who apparently has no sense of the line he's not supposed to cross. She left in a hurry after twenty-sum' minutes!
Red Dress Girl was there too, but lookin' quite skinny. 'Pparently, she got some kind of parasite or thyroidal thing going, and she's struggling to keep her weight up! Poor lady. Still quite attractive, though. Sassy-sexy, you dig? She recommended that I have a one-night-stand with somebody, on account of my break-up, but I didn't think to ask if she was volunteering until the grace period for the joke had already passed! Dummy!
I'm hoping to see more new members at next weeks' club meeting. We're doing a heavy recruitment drive, to pump up our ranks. We lost several to graduation/transfers.

what type of club?
It's a support group for people who have had dogs that were sent to the witness protection program. It's pretty hard to find members.
don't be shy bda, being president of the anime club is nothing to be ashamed of
wait what i am not american explain this to me
do dogs testify and then go in protection? or are the dogs to protect witnesses?
We're really not supposed to talk about it.
i really miss my friend. a lot. apparently her life right now is really tough and she told me its just hard without me which honestly shocked me a lot
i never thought i meant shit to anyone but that was weird. i just wanna see her, i miss my home.
First time posting here in this thread, but I just wanted to share this.
I never thought this thing would happen, but after 2 years, I discovered that a beautiful girl I've rarely hung out with had a huge thing for me.
I discovered this when I went to the movies the other day with 5 of my buddies. After seeing MiBIII, we were riding back home in the dark and I was in the middle row with this girl to the right of me. The very back seats actually face backwards, and the couple driving were focused too much on the road/each other to pay attention to me and this girl next to me.
We start talking up a storm. She loves photography and is an amazing person to talk to. I explained a little of what I do with mapping and my ventures into modeling, and she seems pretty into it. Funny thing is, every now and then she'd say "I have an idea, but I'm not sure I should do it". Eventually, I just said "do whatever's on your mind", and she grabbed my hand and held it. I had a feeling that's what she was getting at. Eventually, she made my night even better by offering a kiss. We kiss, twice, before we arrive at my place and I say goodbye to her and her friends for the night.
Feels good to be hooked up after a while.
Good luck to ya, bud. Hope you find social, emotional, and physical compatibility with your hand-grabbin' camera jockey!

Just a heads up: keep yourself in check when you talk about computers / modelling and all that. I know how easy it is to get really into what you're talking about, whether it's PC games or what-have-you, and it can be a turn-off for some girls. My ex wasn't ever really into gaming, so I never really spoke about it to her. Just thought I'd give you the heads up, so you don't seem like those guys who are way too into computers (never a good thing).
But if your girl is interested in computers and all that, lucky you :)
Yuh, nothin' more awkward than going on about something you're really passionate about, just to realize that you're boring the hair off somebody!
I hardly know anybody that I can dork out with about cool architectural projects and interesting TED talks I've seen.
Oh God, highlight of my school year was when a buddy of mine saw my TED app on my phone from behind me, and we had the coolest talk ever. Also, BDA, you're an Architect? Neat.
Not yet, but I really want to be! architecture, sailing, and green technology get me stoked. I want to combine them one day, with some kind of architecturally beautiful sailboat.
Lately, I've been into the concept of architectural bio-mimicry in a big way! Buildings that utilize designs and inspirations from nature for more ecologically sustainable (not to mention comfortable and luxurious) lifestyles.
For example, an architect recently studied giant anthills to determine how they managed to so accurately regulate the temperatures within their hives (Constant internal temperature, within 1 degree celsius, and these are in the desert, where external temperature changes are wild and extreme). Using what he learned, he designed a cooling and ventilation system that was 90% more efficient than the industry standard!
Another cool one, based on a desert beetle who collects water in the air via a specially designed shell that remains cooler than the air around it, which causes condensation to form on its shell, is helping to combat desertification in Africa! It leaches the moisture from the air to feed greenhouses, which in turn raise the relative humidity of the area and promote plant growth in a large area around them.
Fascinating stuff.

I just found out there was an app for it today. I watched a video about window-farms, and now I'm all hyped up to try and start my own. The only thing holding me back is that I have no idea what I'd grow, because I've never grown anything in my life. I guess I could try mint? I've heard it grows very easily, and it might make my apartment smell lovely.
so this has almost nothing to do with the thread (aside from the fact that i talked to my mom about moving out and she's cool with it so my plans to move in with the bf in december are just about set in stone at this point), but i've got a bit of a dilemma
what's the cheapest way of transporting a piano 1500 miles across the country? it's electric, weighs about 90 lbs total, and can be disassembled and fit into a box that is somewhere around 60"x30"x20" (guesstimating here). i'm going to be driving but i don't think i'd be able to fit the box in my car. all ups has told me is that i'd be better off buying another piano (and would apparently save enough money for a second one by not shipping from there).
I'm in a long distance relationship.
Me and her will meet properly in November.
Until then, she mailed me this little trinket:

With a note saying "even an hour behind, every second is a second closer to you"
I cannot express in words how much I love this girl...
