Well it is not really that severe, I ask some of my friends and family if it looks bad, some say they do not even notice it that much. Personally it annoys me so much because I like soft skin, I always had smooth and soft skin, it was beautiful. :v:
My girlfriend doesn't notice it that much, but at times I wake up in the morning and I look so fucked up. I had different lotions and medication, this one should solve if it all. If I won't kill myself or die half-blind because of terrible muscle cramps that make me want to kill myself :v:
Man, before puberty, or just at the start of it, when I was around 15, I had the best fucking skin ever. Tan and smooth and soft. Then, puberty hits me like a ten-tonne truck and I've had constant acne on my cheeks. I don't really care that much about it, I've just got on with life and not let it affect me too much. The only thing I hate is the fact it's left my once-smooth skin all pocked. I can't even remember picking my spots. It sucks.
my ex was exactly like that, it's incredibly aggravating to know that someone you used to be in a relationship is childish enough to start flinging shit once you split up. all you can really do is ignore it though.
I had that shit with all my ex-girlfriends, I simply ignore it but it can be simply cumbersome. Although some people told some bad rumors about me, a lot of people seem to know but I do not know them :v:
Thank you good sir, indeed I am a guy. I just want to gain some weight, I did more sports back in the day but I regularly bike in mountains. Unfortunately you might be right about eating less than I think. It is just that I eat very irregular, there are days in which I do not eat much and other days where I eat so much.
I use to be a really lanky and skinny guy too. I'm 6' and use to weigh about 62kg a couple of years ago. In December last year I caught glandular fever and my weight dropped from about 75kg to 70kg just because I couldn't actually eat any food for about a week. I started going back to the gym at about March I think but didn't get really serious until a few months ago where now I weigh 83kg.
So as a skinny guy as well (I've got one of those skinny builds) it shows you that you can put on weight fairly easily, just takes determination and eating properly (and I mean eat a shitload of food)
I gained about 10 kg over the summer, from a BMI of ~19 to a current ~22. The problem I had was that I didn't even realise that I was skinny and I'd learned how to neglect hunger (I still can do it, but I get myself to eat more frequently). I also try hit at least 2000 kcal a day. I also go to the gym a lot now to get myself some muscles. I used to have toothpick arms, but now I have somewhat average arms. But hey, I'm far from done.
My BMI says I'm just overweight, it's a stupid measurement. I have no fat on me :v:

Glandular Fever is pretty crap. I had it when I was 14ish, I had it fairly severely, was practically bedridden for a summer, worked out ok for me though, turned me from the fat fuck I was to a more reasonable weight and I've kept it at that ever since.
My BMI says I'm just overweight, it's a stupid measurement. I have no fat on me :v:
Well, if you have a high BMI, you have either muscles or fat. If you have a low BMI, you have neither.
My BMI says I'm just overweight, it's a stupid measurement. I have no fat on me :v:
Fat doesn't have to be on the outside. It can be clogging up your arteries and surrounding your organs. Scary stuff. So perhaps that's what's making the BMI say you're overweight.
But BMI charts are also highly inaccurate. I'm supposedly perfect, but the charts don't take everything into consideration. I'm not in shape at all, even if it says I am!

Losing visible fat doesn't mean you're healthier. This is a huge misconception that is dangerous. People that diet fail to take into account that cardio is also needed to get rid of the fat within their arteries and the fat surrounding their organs. Just saying that in case you judge physical wellbeing and health on outward looks. Don't judge a book by it's cover and all that.
muscle is denser than fat but bmi doesn't take muscle mass into account

BMI is pretty useless; you should be able to tell by looking at you whether you're under/overweight

but BMI doesn't state whether you're in shape or not, it's purely height vs. weight. so it's a bit silly to assume that it's telling you whether you're healthy inside or not.

Ah, I know he didn't say anything about being healthier. I was just saying that as he seemed to think that going from overweight (which would mean he had a decent collection of fat around organs / in arteries) to a reasonable weight (which would be a loss of adipose tissue as a result of his Glandular Fever [which left him not being able to eat]) was a good thing, without taking into consideration the way his arteries and organs might be. I just figured I'd give him a heads-up, because going through life thinking that only the outside matters is recipe for disaster. I had a friend who got severely ill because he went from being drastically overweight, to skinny just from dieting, yet he did no cardio and ended up having lots of problems and being confused as to why he was having them.

When I said I'm not in shape, I meant I'm not exactly skinny, or what the BMI charts depict as "okay". I'm smack-bang in the center of the healthy-weight range, even though I've got a decent amount of fat (I'm quite chubby). So in actual fact, I'm not "okay" at all, seeing as most of my weight is fat, and not (what it should be) muscle, since I've led a pretty sedentary lifestyle for years. I wasn't meaning it in the sense that it's saying I'm healthy. I know BMI charts are height vs weight and I know they're highly inaccurate.
don't want to be a negative nancy but you kinda need the fat around your organs to keep the buggers in place
else you get shit like floating kidneys
Fat doesn't hold organs in place. Mesentery (connective tissue) does. Also, fat is needed both around organs and stored in your adipose tissue in healthy amounts. Not too much (which is common, what with obesity and all that) and not too little. The whole reason I went on about the whole health-aspect (when the guy didn't even mention health at all) was because going from overweight to normal weight, from just diet alone, means you've still left all that fat surrounding your organs and clogging up your arteries. Surprisingly enough (or not so much), skinny people can be "fat", not on the outside but on the inside.
okay cool we get it, BMI is pish
want to be healthier? eat a good balanced diet and exercise regularly. done
Yikes

Glandular fever fucking sucks. Apparently once you've had it once your immune system is weaker in general and you have a higher chance of catching it again. :(
Also I don't have any fat in my arteries loopoo :v: I was just saying how bad bmi is as a measurement, but its obvious we all know that.
Way to derail a thread

Thank you for your concern, but we're talking 8 years ago now, I'm perfectly healthy. I eat quite a bit, because I eat what I want when I feel like it (last time I did any calorie counting I was scoring up about 3500 a day to my amusement) but on the other hand I spend much of my free time doing serious physical activity (rock climbing, hiking, running and as of late horse archery) and get at least one, sometimes more of those activities in per day. I'm in good shape and even if I'm all furry and clogged up inside, I feel healthy.
(I also think you are getting myself and badballer confused - we've both had glandular fever)
So, I guess you guys were right; that bitch be trippin'. So, she goes to a party at college, her firt party ever, so I'm like, whatever, have fun. Well the next day, she tells me she made out with a dude. I'm like, uhh, wtf are you doing? She tells me that it just kinda happened, and that in the same situation, she'd do it again, and that she wants me to feel ok doing the same. This over text btw. So I call her, and I'm like, ok, we should talk about this. And she tells me that we never really talked about being exclusive. And I'm like, well, I kinda assumed that we were, being boyfriend and girlfriend and all... and then she tells me that college is a lot different than high school, and that everyone has sex. Well first off, I'd like to point out she's been to ONE party and been at college for less than a week and now she thinks she a college girl. Whatever. So anyway, she says that since everyone is doing it, she doesn't wanna be a "total noob" at it. I would also like to add, she's super christian and gave me a ton of shit for it and said I was a bad person since I wasn't christian. If it was sex she wanted we would've done it by now, but she said she wanted to save herself. Also, she didn't care what I did for her, finger her or whatever, she didn't do anything back. I didn't really care at the time but I guess it's just adding up.
So I was also talking to a mutual friend of ours, and she said, well it's not like we were official or exclusive. So I tell her, yeah, we kinda agreed to be bf anf gf, that's sorta what that means... *Apparently* she only said I could *call* her my girlfriend. I'm like, that doesn't even make any sense.
Horse archery. My two favourite hobbies combined. I've never done it, is it worth trying?

What a cunt. Obviously she's extremely immature for letting something dumb like that affect her stance, and she's not someone you want to be around anymore.

That sounds like the most badass sport ever.
Horse archery. My two favourite hobbies combined. I've never done it, is it worth trying?
If you love riding and archery, definitely. Getting the resources to do it however is tricky. I'm in the UK and I think there are 2 schools of horse archery and it isn't cheap. I went the other way about it. My family have horses and a field, so the first thing I did was went out and bought a traditional Scythian horse bow. I had to basically completely relearn to shoot with it. It's whisper quiet and a beautifully soft draw, but the necessity of the short length of the bow to make it wieldy on horseback means that even the longest drawn horsebow is only 30" which is a full 4 short of my draw. The traditional nature of the bow also means no arrow rest so aiming is mostly guesswork. Added to which the proper way to fire it is with a thumb ring... bugger that.
Anyway, the bow is the easy bit. You need a steady, reliable mount that isn't going to piss off over the hill when you let go of the reins and isn't easily spooked. Then you've got to learn to ride just with your knees and feet, leaving your hands free. Now you're about ready to combine the two and oh my god is it difficult to hit anything. On the move I'm generally lucky to hit the net at 30 paces!
You can probably see why its quite a rare sport.
[img_thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3798635/2012-09-04%2019.12.14.jpg[/img_thumb]
I strung the bow and took a photo. The arrow I use with it is for comparison, it's 28" long (yay child arrows)
end it
Oh, I guess I left that part out. Yeah I did when was on the phone with her. She wanted things to stay the way they were, and I was like, well that's not ok, have fun by yourself then.

Yeah that was goin nowhere fast
end it. she pretty much said you guys were over a week ago
Well that's the thing, I gave her the chance to break it off before she went to college but she didn't. I wish she had. At least we haven't been going out that long, only like a month. I'm not that hurt so much as pissed off. Like the reasoning is just so fucking stupid.
Move on.
Oh well. There's this one chick who said she fantasized about giving me a bj, and I told her I had to problem making it a reality. I dunno how serious she is but I think we're gonna meet up this saturday. We're actually pretty good friends. Well on and off. We become like best friends for a while then drift apart etc. But she has like, a super high libido, but she can't do it with random guys. She says she finds most guys boring, and the ones that aren't are either gay or taken. To be fair, she has a LOT of gay friends. But she said she wants to be with a guy she can talk to for hours. This was as we were on the phone talking for like 4 hours so...
