Melbourne is something like the 8th largest (in size) city in the world, with a larger population than Chicago.
Why would you sell drugs if you're making $500 for a couple hours a night? Why use drugs when prostitution is as much a job as any other? I suppose I don't live in puritan America, and haven't experienced it's evidently woeful education system.

Here's my story, me and my girlfriend have been arguing a lot recently and she has decided to go on a break for 3 weeks with me. One of the main reasons for argument is because she talks to this guy from her school, now that would be fine but the reason why I disagree with it is because she talks to him in a flirty way and he does to with "<3" at the end of everything they write to each other over facebook. I've watched her chatting to him, I've seen her mails to him and she doesn't realise I can see what she writes on his wall with all the hearts and kisses etc.
Now however that we are on a break she has decided to go out drinking with him, not sure if it's just him or if she's with anyone else. She knows that if I knew this I would flip but because we are on a break I don't know if I can say anything about this to her. I come here seeking advice on the matter because I am lost, don't know what to do or say and to be honest I want to go through to town and kick his head in but I don't think that would go down very well with her. I really love this girl but she is stressing me out seeing this guy and how she speaks to him, she speaks to him better than she does with me, there seems to be some kind of communication barrier between me and her sometimes but she can speak to him about anything.
I do feel as though I may seem jealous but she went out somewhere with him yesterday and wrote on his wall that she is numb from her feet to her shoulders because it was so cold? Weird thing is if they were outside in the freezing cold (I don't think it was that cold) then why would she not go out with me when it was cold? Am I not important enough for her? I feel very sad, upset and extremely angry with her and the guy because he knows fine well she has a boyfriend because I have spoken to him before about this but that made her upset because he stopped talking to her for a while.

Prostitution is legal in Australia. The majority of prostitutes in here aren't drug addicts unless they're victims of sexual slavery (like illegal immigrants). Your assertion that prostitutes have to be drug addicts is pretty obviously incorrect, then, because most prostitutes here aren't desperately struggling to survive.

If she is posting it publicly like that then it was obviously a friend thing she does as she wouldn't blatantly put she is cheating on you on a public site. I know plenty of girls who put hearts in their messages and you have to realize some girls are more flirty than others.
The issue here is that if she did cheat on you, there is no way you couldve stopped it and by trying to control her you pushed her away. You came off clingy and jealous which basically amounts to the tighter you make your grip the more she will slip away.
To be honest, going on break is generally just a slow break up, but if you want to have any hope of salvaging it I would not mention it to her about her going out with the guy. She is on break, it is her life and her decisions and if you call her out on it you will just seem all the more controlling and jealous.
Give her space, and realize that BOTH of you are on break and if she is hanging with guys go hang with girls. Continue with your life and show her youre independent from her and not "one of those guys" that doesnt let his gf have any guy friends.

I was not asserting that all prostitutes do drugs, but over here prostitution is illegal so the people doing it often are into other illegal activities as well. So I would not know about the well being of the prostitute population in an Australian city and went off what I have seen over in my country. So this argument comes down to demographics and how our society differs.

The other day my girlfriend and her housemates were getting tickets for V Fest in Staffordshire (one of her housemate's mum's bought them) and my girlfriend bought me a ticket out her own money. It was such a sweet and thoughtful thing to do. However when she told her housemates they weren't happy because it was meant to be a girly ting.
It's a long way off (towards the end of August), I said she should have a chat with them and if they're still not down for it, then to sell the ticket. What say you guys?

I think you have the right idea not to impose against a large group of girls. I would recommend if your girlfriend's housemates don't allow you to go, to set up a date for sometime in the near future (like this week) just to thank her for the extremely kind gesture.
