Anyway, in other news, I am trying to squeeze in some time with the college therapy. I only have a month left till the end of semester, but hopefully a session or two will be enough. It's been at least 7 months, I am unable to find any romantic interest in anyone at all. I constantly long to come back to my ex, even though I know she would be against that. Yes, we do see each other rarely, I even took a month long break away from her, just to try to get my shit together. Suffice to say, I am going through rather shitty days anyway (ever felt like breaking down and crying mid-session?). And I am rather sure people over Steam are tired of hearing my whiny bitching as well. I just want to move on to someone else and be able to stay friends with her. Whining aside, I guess I was long overdue for the therapy.

I know a lot of people who need to talk to therapist, but instead of taking action decide to wallow in their own pity. It's good to see someone taking a genuine interest in their own livelihood.

But anyway, thanks for support, random person on the internet.
out of interest, what do you guys think makes for a good first date? i haven't been dating for a while, nor do i have anything impending, but i'd like to see what others think.
the first date i had with the missus was coffee and burn after reading. sure, cheesy, but fun.
i've never been on a date :o
oh you poor dear.
i'll go out with you <3
And if that doesn't work out, I'll be next in line! [editline]6th April 2012[/editline] Shit we sound desperate. :o It's not like I've never gone on a date before, and I don't even go out often...
Are we talking about dates? I brought my girlfriend ice skating for our first date, which sounds pretty weird, but was a lot of fun. It helps break the ice. *puts on sunglasses*

Always open and always confidential. Past that though, while aiming to remain friends with your Ex is a noble endeavor, it can be... difficult. No, it is difficult. I'm about done knowing and being friends with my first ex, second ex doesn't really do a lot of communicating anyway but I hold no ill will with her, and my third one... well... I don't even wanna go into that. Its doable, yes, but it all depends on how and why things ended between you.
i've never been on a date :o
I've never been on what I'd call a date.
Thank you, this tale just helped on my own personal problem. I've had this crush on a girl for a while, and we have been chatting a lot through the internet and mobile. Though i have never talked with her in real life for more than 10 seconds. You know, maybe i just got a crush on her internet-self, rather than who she really is. Urgh, i just realised i might have made the wrong choice by already telling her about my crush on her.
Just a little update on what i posted earlier. Me and her and some of her friends went to a concert. It was awesome, and it was only us two in the bus on the way home (We actually live like 20 houses from eachother). She's awesome, and is a lot like me. (Really, i thought i was the only person saying sexy as smexy. Guess i was wrong <3)
Because parents automatically assume i don't know how to use a condom Im 17 for fucks sake The troubles of teenage life
Because parents automatically assume i don't know how to use a condom Im 17 for fucks sake The troubles of teenage life
Look at it from their view: option one is that you all go through five minutes of embarrassment, while option two is that you potentially fuck up both yours and their lives.
ok im gonna attempt to go out all day today, hopefully I don't poop on everyone

This girl I'm working on? She's heard of Facepunch. Goes to DragonCon, Enjoys Steampunk and plays Legend of Zelda. She knows, and follows, Homestuck for pete's sake. When I nerd out about my computer adventures, she understands what I'm saying. When I say some random fact about something that she didn't know, she enjoys learning it. Commented once that "I learn so much when I talk to you". She made this: I think I got a winner here, I am not letting this one slip away.
woah a NERD!! that means she is PERFECT for you right?! nothing could go wrong, she HAS to be a great match for you since she has similar interests!

Why not ask her out, Syntax?
he said she made it, not that she made it for him

She is a gamer just like me, but the problem is, i just don't want that kind of relationship. I'm afraid I'll end up getting friendzoned or something. Also whenever she starts to talk about games like Dead Island, I try to lead the conversation somewhere else. Also this might sound weird. I'm not gonna lie, this girl has huge boobies, even though that's not why i like her so much. It's kinda hard to say anything nice to her, when she gets told everyday how she looks hot and alike.

The usual approach I have when talking to her is to compliment her through downplaying myself. "You're well out of my league" and such. But I've kind of resigned myself to the fact that I'll never be with her, so this is probably just more self-deprecating humour than anything else.
My girlfriend loves to brag to me about how guys flirt with her. When I say something, she feel like i'm being too protective or some shit, I stop listening half-way through. What should I tell her so she understand how much that upsets me, while not upsetting her?
You can tell her that you don't like hearing it because it bothers you. It's not something you worry about, or that you're all butt-hurt because you think she's going to run off with some guy that's flirting. Just that you don't enjoy hearing it. But to a slight degree, you do have to get used to it. It's going to be something you see and hear, it's the price you pay sometimes.

I absolutely plan on asking her out, the only issue here is the time scale. I've known her for a good few years at this point, but yesterday and the day before are the only times I've seen her for 2 years. So we just recently got to actually see each other again. Its obvious that I'm interested in her, and I see interest in the other direction. But I want to avoid looking like I just sprinted from nowhere and asked her out.
Surely then you could ask her out just to catch up with her, and then say "we should do this again" or such?
Thats what the past two days have been. We went to the movies wednesday, met her mother there. And we went to the botanical gardens behind my house yesterday. Yesterday we were alone for most of the day. Hence the line: 'You know when things are going well when the ending sentences are "I had a great time today, I'll have to see when my next free weekend is" ' We've been talking pretty often since she re-appeared back on the map about... 2 weeks ago, so I'm thinking that next time we see each other I might proceed a little.
Phew, I today took care of my little fella, and tried discovering just WHAT my gf had destroyed, "luckily" it was only my foreskin she cut up, but fuck, it does hurt. [editline]6th April 2012[/editline] i havent jerked off in like almost a week, im getting retarded
