People should pay more attention to maintaining relationships they feel are right. Talking things over and being open are key points. I've had plenty rough patches, due to problems on both of our accounts. The strangest of these culminated with my gf cheating on me. It hurt a lot, even more so since I'd have always been the one who advocated the element of 'openness' and she still kept quiet about it.
I kept my calm though, racked my brains over it and came to the conclusion that whatever someone does against you can't be without reason: every action has a reaction. In retrospect I concluded it was as much my fault as it was hers. I forgave her and we fished each other out of our shared chaos and confusion and the relationship grew stronger for it.
Now we're still together and we're probably as close to each other as any two people can possibly get.
I'm not saying forgive everything and shit works out. I'm saying before you make a decision (even if it feels SO justified at the time), look and definitely THINK things over! First you must calm down, and only then can you trust yourself with making the best choices for everyone.

I didn't want to type the entire story. Basically like 4 of my friends, my best friend, my girlfriend and I did a belated birthday gift for a my best friend by taking him to the carnival then a little drinking. My best friend said that I pretty much ignored everyone besides my girlfriend the entire night. He's been telling me that I've been moving too fast since I told him about us making out and told me not to do anything crazy three times last night.
