You just need to shut the fuck up.
I remember that strip, but when I looked it up (it's the last one in the Anniversary collection thing) it's slightly different from that picture.
There is another strip that reuses the Tyrannosaurs in F-14s idea and it had a different drawing, but I'll be damned if I can remember which of our collections it is in.
It might be in my grandfather's one.
I love Calvin & Hobbes.

I only discovered C&H about a year ago, a compilation in the school library.
It's fucking awesome.
its not funny
Well, smple. It's funny.
I remember that one strip with no vocab at all in it. It was just Hobbes having a dream about beating the shit out of Calvin.
Good times...

Possible my favorite strip ever.
Calvin & Hobbes is the best newspaper comic I've ever read. It's a comic that I can still connect with and find funny today. It represents many of the things that I loved about my childhood. Not only was it clever and funny, but it presented many philosophical ponderings that one wouldn't think would come out of a comic strip like that. I recall numerous occasions when Calvin and Hobbes sped down a foresty hill and Calvin would debate with himself the meaning of something significant, like choice.
It had its funny moments, and its sad moments, and those life lesson moments. I loved Calvin & Hobbes back then, and I still do to this very day.
There's actually a couple collections I don't have that I really need to get.
the reason people like calvin and hobbes is mostly because it is a smartly written comic strip, and even at the time when it was really popular, it was hard to come across one like this.
now they're pretty much non-existent :(
I didn't have C&H in my childhood, so it means nothing to me. :smug:
:golfclap:
Nice bump.
Oh man, I love Calvin and Hobbes, I used to have 2 or 3 big huge thick comic books with their comic strips, like 100 pages long each.
/nostalgia
Another one of those things I wonder why I had to miss.
I like C&H mainly because it didn't try to be as vulgar or "stupid funny" as other stips were (and are), even though, if done correctly, they are good. I liked Calvin's little daydreams, too. STUPENDOUS MAAANN!
What the fuck? It isn't even a hype, but if it was I could understand. I mean I own every comic book of those, and the collector's edition too. It is the best fucking comic, I used to read them as a kid, and still do. Why wouldn't you like it anyways?
I'd never heard of it until this year.
lol australian
We don't really read comics over here.
However, I found a book of them at my chiropractor's clinic and I've read a few of them every time I've been there since.
Calvin's parents have brown and black hair but Calvin have blonde hair. I think he's adopted or his mom's been cheating.

And they wonder why...

hahaha
Calvin and Hobbes, what other comic has characters named after a religious zealot reformer and a philosopher? It's genius. We didn't get it as kids, but it was lovable.
I think there is a strip with T-rexes flying F-14s and they blow up his school or something.
