Reading this thread made me remember just how great Calvin and Hobbes is. I went out to a book store and bought two collections for 40 bucks earlier today because of it.
I fucking love Calvin and Hobbes. I still have all the books : D, I used to read them in the toilet all the time and I would carry around the big C & H Essentials book around when I was a kid. I'm gonna go through all the books today. [editline]09:32PM[/editline] Also noodle incident
This thread makes me want to go find all the Calvin & Hobbes books my parents and I have amassed. I remember reading them all as a kid. I reckon if I read 'em again I'll understand all the jokes I didn't get as a kid. There's loads of subtle references to philosophy in his comics. I have a strip up on my wall that I got given in a Philosophy lesson... the strip is drawing parallels with Kantian Ethics and how people will find it difficult to instil Universal morals on themselves. In a nutshell; smurt comicks. I'm going to go read all the compilations I have now :] brb Also, xkcd seems to like Calvin and Hobbes <3
