These requirements are not real FYI.
At some interview they said that these requirements are made up to repel people so they don't get flooded with cvs and stuff. In reality if you're a skilled and creative person, you got a chance.
In one interview gabe said that if you want to get hired, make games/mods/whatever, showcase them and then you already got a chance. See the dota mod maker and many other guys valve hired.
Also industry experience does not mean commercial AAA games. A successful mod gives a lot of industry experience too.
