Morrowind vs. Oblivion vs. Skyrim - Weapons Comparison

why is oblivion always the best
get a load of this guy
All of the people who rated me dumb are casuals who never played morrwind.
Morrowind is the best of the series. Being a lover of all things TES, I feel it should be clearly stated in this thread. Anyone who's played Morrowind knows it's the best of the series, too. Oblivion was a bit of a disappointment in the series, in my opinion, but it was still a good game as well. That being said, Skyrim feels closer to Morrowind in openness and gameplay, and is closer to my heart than Oblivion is.
I just love The Elder Scrolls games, they inspire me greatly as a developer.
when are we gonna go to akavir
god dammit
skyrim looks like a poo

e.g. The Dwemer underworld with the floating mushroom thingies.
Seano, why the hell are you still in the thread if all you are going to do is bitch at things.
Of all of the TES, I think that MW had some of the best design, especially the volcanic Dwemer ruins and the Telvanni. Skyrim easily has the best game play. I'd love MW in Skyrims engine, with the levitate spells, spears, crossbows, modular armour system and so on.

Morrowind's Dwemer ruins are vastly superior to Skyrims. I mean Skyrim's just doesn't have feel of a mysterious technological race, Morrowind had schematics, Dwemeriese books, their currency and hell some of the ruins have ghost of the Dwemer. All Skyrim has are traps, centurions, and the fucking Falmer
I like how the silver swords are sort of cross shaped, dealing with vampires/werewolves/ghosts and stuff.
Also, I like how almost every weapon looks identical to the one from the previous games.

I'm pretty late to the party here, but which Facepunch have you been going to? That's exactly the kind of video I expect here.

Is that a good or a bad thing ?
The ending is nicely sombre.
Imo oblivion always had the best music in the seriers. So relaxing and calm
(I know that this video is about the swords but I felt like talking about the music for some reason.)

The video music was the "Play!" Symphony orchestra peforming the oblivion theme song.

Now that seano is gone I highly encourage you, OP, to level up your Morrowind character. It's less terrible later on and it's one of the most impressive games ever made from an artistic and immersive standpoint.
My next comparison is going to be my last one, I will be comparing the races from Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.
Since I don't want seano whining again I will put as much effort as possible into it. Will be awhile until it comes out, since i'm fairly busy atm and also need to work on S.U.R.V.I.V.O.R

Thank you. And don't skip the goblins or zombies or skeletons, they are their own race too.
Skyrim is dark and gritty, and some swords wouldn't even be usable by a human being.
But whatever floats your boat i guess.

You spoke too soon my friend.
I am seano12 and I approve this post.

Skyrim doesn't have goblins or zombies...
Skyrim doesn't have goblins or zombies...
Draguru or whatever, the nord zombies will suffice. As for goblins... yeaaa you can compare the ones from arena to oblivion or whatnot. I'd consider the falmer goblins almost.
Is that a good or a bad thing ?
Your videos are good. Most of the stuff that's posted in VAFMATKOC isn't.
what if I don't wanna be the dragonborn
Skyrim weapons look like toys.
They would be practically impossible to forge. Way too wide blades too.
I wish the ebony sword in Skyrim looked like the one in Oblivion. much cooler in my opinion
When people come to this part of the forums they don't exactly expect some half assed video. Your other video was just fine, it had everything I expected. You compared all of the armors just fine. Here I expected everything to be compared like in your last video, I was sadly mistaken.
Yea you went to toddtest, but you didn't even show all of the weapons, and you even got steel and silver mixed, how could you even mix up those two if you're somebody who played oblivion?
You should re-do the video.
And you complain of morrowind being a pain, stop being a casual.
What? I expect half assed videos almost 50% of the time in here :v:
Shit. Music in the beginning is so nostalgic!
morrowind magic is easy, press r to ready it, ffs
morrowind magic is easy, press r to ready it, ffs
Yeah but I had no idea on how to get spells. Couldve added them with cheats but I couldn't type "_" on the morrowind console.
Morrowind had Shurikens made out of bones/glass/silver...and they could explode in various flavors of lightning. Morrowing is the winner, hands down.
yeah, and crossbows and polearms, ill never forgive bethesda for cuttin out all those weapon types from the elder scrolls
