Have they explained why Rick is able to call airstrikes?
It's not like it's something you'll be able to do from the get-go, I surely hope not anyway. I'd imagine it's probably something you obtain near the end of the story.
I wonder what the story is. Being trapped in a mall, being trapped in an amusement park (of sorts), and being trapped in a city? I'm intrigued as to why Nick can't leave and why the military can strike on his command, but not nuke.
I KNEW it was going to still have the silly weapons and shit. It looks pretty good, but the reveal they gave it pretty much destroyed its reputation. If it's after DR2, chances are this outbreak is due to some zombie carnival or zombie wrestling arena getting fucked up or something. Still have no idea about the military strike, could be that Nick has a military friend that gives him help?
dead rising 1 had it all, the giant zombie infested mall, the choice of using all everything lying around, the colourful level design and fast paced arcadey action, and ofcourse who can forget, the picture taking fun?? this looks its taken a giant step back from most things that made DR1 and also DR2 imo very unique games look at that disgusting colour scheme
Everyone keeps saying that first trailer alone probably killed it for everyone, and I guess that ties in with the whole Xbox One presentation being so.. Flawed. But regardless, I need to catch myself up on the first two games even if I am refusing to buy the One.

Capcom really knew how to do what no other company was able to do as well as they could.

I might be severely misinformed, though.
Still not very optimistic about this one. I can't shake the feeling they're going to get something wrong about this. If memory serves right didn't they mention the timer will be optional from the start?

I'll only care if I can jump off a 3 story building and elbow drop a zombie through the Earth all the way to China
Still don't like the atmosphere. I know it's supposed to make me all dreary and shit but it's Dead Rising. I want fuck some Zombies shit up without having the atmosphere sucking away my soul subconsciously.
They better have some calming mall music.
I'll only care if I can jump off a 3 story building and elbow drop a zombie through the Earth all the way to China
China dlc confirmed.
the emphasis on guns is not a good sign. the whole point of dead rising 1 was that guns were totally useless, you had to rely more on other weapons and your own hands. that was the fun, tearing through zombies with your bare fists. trapped? spin around in a circle with your arms out, don't plant a bomb or something. as long as the hand to hand combat is fluid and very effective like the first game, i'm down. although from the wresting snippet in this i'm worried that the hand to hand will be chunky and useless like in dead rising 2, as opposed to arcadey in the first one.
or "tactical airstrike"
Why is every game developer a pasty white dude trying to look deezed...? :v:
Maybe because they spend most of their time inside working on games?
why can't they just take dr1 and expand it. that game was great.
I will only play this game if I could open up portals, go into the DooM world to grab the BFG-9000, go to the moon to fight space pirates, and then come back to earth and blow up the white house. If it does not have that I will not be happy and this game will be mediocre and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh
Looks like shit wow..
dat screen jelly
I hear a lot of re-used sounds from DR2 in that trailer. Also ever since Keiji was practically forced out of Capcom the DR series has gone to shit. He had nothing to do with OTR, and Dead Rising 3 wouldn't be a brown-washed ~gritty~ game.
i literally have no reason to buy a ps4
To me, Dead Rising has been always more like a "wacky zombie survival sandbox game where you can kill zombies with dildo launchers" instead of a Walking Dead-style gritty zombie game. I'm not saying that every wall in the game should be painted with bright colors, but look at Fortune City or Willamette. I'm talking about that kind of style.
I hope you can still grab a zombie by the legs, and spin in a circle to kill everything, or my favorite move from DR1, the little flip kick that instantly decaps a zombie and is comically fast.
So, is this XBone exclusive or not?
When will devs realize , THE WORLD IS NOT BROWN AND GREY.
the city seems really devoid of personality

Calm down there. Off The Record is arguably the best so far.
Why would you want to inconvenience yourself with taking out your phone, making sure it has the app installed and bringing it up when you want to do something when you could just put the feature inside the game?
