Thanks for the FAQ, made this a lot clearer.
I might as well try applying, but I'm screwed in Stage 2. :v:
Does the experience part of the app only apply to forum moderation?
Hezzy can we request to be told why our applications failed?
Sure it's not in real life, but it may help when it comes to real life, one way or another.
wahh i wanna be a mod
not
Hezzy, are you gonna reply to our e-mails if you've read it? (Even just a "i read your e-mail" is fine)

Ive gotten 2 replies so he is reading them.
I'd apply but I can't come up with an answer to:
"Recall an occasion when you have been in a very challenging or difficult situation and had to make a decision that perhaps others disagreed with. Tell me about the situation and why you felt it was difficult"

Took me a while to remember an answer to this question, but eventually I remembered something fitting that happened in the past :buddy:
I've never gotten myself into a difficult situation, so I'm stumped.

The decision thing sounds like banning somebody or shunning them.

Except hopefully in a real-life situation.

Oh, I did that once.
The second stage is an investigation, I will ask the applicants to list their accounts and I will go through post histories, ban histories, etc. I will be checking for posting style, attitude and judging the quality of your posts.
that's going to screw over a lot of people.
I don't think that's too necessary, either - obviously, you want to pick out people making blatant shitposts, fucking with people, etc, but a lot of users probably have a more mature side to them that may not come out in the forum until prompted to
I swear Hezzy took the last question off the Police recruitment test, I remember being asked the same thing.

I coudn't really think of a real life situation which was really difficult. My life has been easy going lately.

I agree, also people change, I used to make loads of shit posts, I'd like to think they've improved though.
Hey cool Rosek ya just made three thousand

Ha, the difference between your posts here and in the GMF are like night and day.
Oh wow I'm at 997 myself.
Ninjas. I guess that means I'm late since this was my 998th post.

I guess that could be a good thing. Avoiding conflicts all-together rather than getting into them.

Unless it's a situation that perhaps you should have intervened in to the betterment of either yourself or someone else, in which case it's the other way around.
Hey cool Rosek ya just made three thousand
I'd have more posts, but in the recent months I just haven't had much to say on the threads I've read, so haven't posted.
I hardly post so I cant really answer these questions.
Oh well good luck to those who apply.

But surely if such a situation doesn't crop up in your social life, then it's a good thing?

Well yeah, I suppose.

You're bound to at some point, even if it isn't your fault.
Shit, I wrote up a massive application and my email went screwy and deleted half of it (Luckily it partially autosaved to drafts)
Oh well, I'll give it another shot tomorrow.
By MSN do they want the screenname or the email you used to set up the account?
