um the video game industry was started and powered by big corporations. if these big players didnt exist we wouldnt have the smaller companies because no one would be willing to invest and risk on these small operations.

um its obviously well liked. activision wouldnt make any money if their games werent good. its in their best interest to make the best games they possibly can for the lowest cost.

do you think gabe started making games out of thin air? no he was incredibly fucking wealthy from microsoft(hint: greedy corporation).
valve is also a privately run company. activision isnt. a ceo and president of a corporation has to bring profits to shareholders above anything else.

The purpose of some businesses is to entertain, innovate, and change the world in a positive way. And I would like to know how a CEO gets fired.

a ceo is an elected official who reports to the board of directors. the bod can fire a ceo.
and ultimately the purpose of a corporation is to make profit. not to provide any service at all. if a corporation could make profit just sitting on its ass it would be obliged to.
