I hate them with a vengeance, especially when they are warped... and obscured with stripes and polka dots... and flipped upside down and inverted left to right...
They piss me off, I can see why they are there but some of them are IMPOSSIBLE to read.
Haha, I have a little tool that bypasses most captcha code things. Makes megaup a breeze.
What would suck is if you got something like this

Too bad x isn't in the equation. Whoever made that equation is a retard.
Also with reCAPTCHA, you only need to enter one of the words correctly.
A better idea would be if a keypad came up physically on the screen with jumbled up letters and a key was generated which also scrambled the backend, Ie whatever represents the _post. the fonts could be scrambled into more complex variations with large exaggerated serifs. The order and everything changes when the page is refreshed.
The keypad would also move around the page so that would have to find it on the page, find what key represents each letter, which would not be assisted by the _post being scrambled.
You type your password in on this keypad, making keyloggers obsolete. I belive it'd be a pretty tricky Captcha if you configured it for that use.

You are a smart man.
My mum's bank uses this sometimes.
It comes up with a keyboard with everything in different places. Changing position after each click on the letters.
I hate it so much when it's like K03r2K
And I type KO3r2k
It makes me rage.

And for those with sight issues, good luck.
How about we make it flash black and white as well!

On some of the smart ones it says "There is no zero character" or something.
Those are the ones designed by people with more intelligence than a KFC bargain bucket.

It's actually a greasemonkey script.
I don't remember where I got it, but how would I upload it?
What's it's name? We can search for it.

If your sight is so bad you can't read characters on a screen you shouldn't be using a PC.

I meant, finding the script on my computer, then uploading.
But I found a link.
I hate the ones that have 10 or more digits, specially if you accidentally miss type it. Then there's the ones that are distorted all to fuck, where one letter is spread and waved all over the image and then the ones next to it are placed beneath it. I also can't stand the ones that have random squiggles and shit placed in the image, so you will see some random squiggle, but the letters are distorted too, so you assume that it's supposed to be an S or something...
Why cant they just have a simple math problem in them? Those are the only ones I don't mind, other than the simple 3-5 character ones.

"Click here to hear the captcha"
Yep, implemented for no reason but for shits and giggles!

My point is that the keypad would be about as difficult to read as any page, hell the keys could be huge on it if you like.

wow, troll much?
Does anyone remember Rapishares old captures? The ones with the cats... They were impossible to do.
Why the fuck do they have to be wavy and everything? Damned captchas.
I just hit the little refresh button until I can read it...

Weird, i always got them on my first try
wow, troll much?
There is no x in that equation.
Its reCaptcha
Second word 99% you can put something random.
Whatever you want, it just checks 1st word.

I wouldn't mind it if they were easy to read, as long as it's a picture bots can't log in using it.
Snip. :]
That cat verification that was on rapidshare for a while made me want to punch my screen

Easiest captcha EVER.
I once saw a captcha that was in text, not in picture, in TEXT. I dunno why it was there, because you could just copy and paste it, but it sure was easy.
