I don't know why people actually like the Barca / Spain playstyle, it's way too much pass pass pass and no accurate finishing.
All the time they have so many options to get a good shot on goal but they want to carry the ball into the goal.
Bad for Croatia, first the 100% penalty was not given and then some chances won't get in but sometimes they pushed not enough.
By the way the german goal side referee is a dumbass, even in the Bundesliga.
I think Spain need to swallow a bit of their outpass-everybody-else pride and play with 2 strikers. As good as it is for them to pass the ball around all the time, they need some players who can actually do well in the box when they're not finding a way to goal. Obviously they got a bit of luck this time and got a goal to make sure they went through but Croatia were unlucky not to knock them out and go through themselves.
I saw the same thing happen with Barca on many occasions and I sit there wondering why they continue to just pass it between themselves forever. Just stick on a big guy who can win headers in the box because sometimes you need to stop walking into the goal and do it the old fashioned way.

I hate Tiki-Taka so much.
Looks like its either france v spain or england v spain for the knockouts. Why do my two nationalities have to go up against spain, there is no way i can come out of this happy. But come on england! i would be so stoked if they beat spain!
Just have to beat Ukraine, Bet it's going to be a classic england match. Pant wettingly tense with a sphincter clenching final 10 minutes.

Why is it [I]never[/I] easy watching England? I just don't get it.
The reason Del Bosque prefers playing a formation without a recognised striker is so that he can play another passer instead of a finished, with the result being crazy possession stats and very few goals being scored.
