Well I hoped England would win but Italy deserved it more. At least at this point there are 4 good teams who can all go to the final.
Well, that's that. :suicide:
Why did Ashley Cole take a penalty, and Not the likes of Andy Carrol? SILLY ENGLAND.
Andy Carroll looked nervous when the camera was on him for a little while so maybe he wasn't feeling up to taking one of the first ones.
Most entertaining match of tournament so far.
Even though at the start I wanted England to win ,Italy ,in my opinion ,played better. They had a lot more goal chances, and England's players were slipping a lot.
Pirlo man, just all his play and the awesome penalty, what a player.
Sake England, Italy deserved the win though, England cant seem to play a good match for longer than 30 minutes.
my facebook is filled with hatred for ashley cole
Be happy, all I'm seeing is ''ANYBODY BUT ENGLAND LOLOLOL, ITALIAAAAA!!'.
Dangit Walcott
Wanted England to win really bad, but Italy deserved it. Lovely penalty from Pirlo.
The amount of people I know that supports a country over their own astounds me
Apart from Rooney being extra shite it's fair to say the entire team were pretty crap in the second half. Also, did Mark Lawrenson say that in the past 8 penalty shootouts England have had in a major tournament we've only ever won 1?

I wouldn't really say Rooney was shite, that's not what I thought at least.
It's better to see England lose by bad luck on penalties than by getting owned by Germany. That would be harder to watch than what happened to Greece.
Let's be honest guys, how many of us expected to see England get out of the group stages?
Absolutely gutted... But in fairness, Italy have saved us from the Germans who would have completely humiliated us. Gerrard/Parker played their legs off in midfield, but 4 games in 13 days just isn't good for two people i their 30's. Both were knackered and we had no other senior replacements considering Barry/Lampard were injured and Carrick wasn't included. Every time we were troubled this tournament it was becuase we had lost the midfield. 4-4-2 and two 30+, tired midfielders was dangerous in my opinion. Looking forward to Roy rebuilding us for Brazil. We have some exciting youngsters. Time to get them fleshed into the squad, as we have a fair few easy qualification games for the WC.
Guys (english), never believe the hype or get your hopes up, we are not good enough and never was, the media always bigs us up out of nothing. Italy deserved the win, but they too have very little to be happy about in the long run, germany would have destroyed england, instead they get to knock out italy. Spain V Germany final, hope my bet comes up. Also Cole was one of our best players throughout don't be bloody ignorant because he missed a pen.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha West Ham reject my arse. Hopefully now that Mark Lawrenson's ate his own words he'll finally stop talking utter pish during a match.
I blame David Beckham.
Wow England's goalkeeper was jokes.
It's a bad night for England fans but lets look at positives, we did get out of the group stages. Not far but still.

Yeees, Italy passed. Fine job.
the best team by a mile won. it was pretty close in the first half, but Italy completely ran the game in the second. Pirlo was by far the best player on the field. had England closed him down, they might have had a chance. but they made nothing of the ball, couldn't get possesion of the ball, and when they did they lost it very quickly. if Italy lost on penalties, it would have been a complete travesty. also, why would Roy ever let Ashley Cole, who has never scored for England, take a penalty? nonsense
Yep. England's got terrible luck regarding penalty shootouts.
it's got nothing to do with luck. they're just terrible at penalty shootouts
Let's be honest guys, how many of us expected to see England get out of the group stages?
Everyone
Everyone
Really? All I saw was ''Woy's a shit manager, we'll crash and burn!''
Really? All I saw was ''Woy's a shit manager, we'll crash and burn!''
All of my mates who hated Roy still believed that we would get out of group. In my opinion the only really difficult match in our group was France, but fair play to both Ukraine and Sweden because both of those games were really close.
Wow England's goalkeeper was jokes.
He was the best man on the pitch for two whole hours.
Wow England's goalkeeper was jokes.
CORRECTION: Hart was the main reason why Italy couldn't score. Along with Johnson.
