What is it about being English that makes us unable to score penalties? It's beyond a joke at this point, our players need to stop choking on a huge dick everytime they step up there. Better team won though, and I'm looking forward to the WC, Oxlade Chamberlain, Cleverley, Hart, Cahill and more of the young lads breaking through. I'd also like Portugal to go and win it. The Germans will beat Spain I think in the final however. I know Ronaldo gets a lot of shit for the way he plays (and I don't agree with the diving etc). But I think the way he has carried Portugal he deserves something for it. They also have a really good set of players and the manager and team atmosphere seems really good, would be nice for them to win, kind of like seeing Greece win it in 04.

Maybe if someone blew a vuvuzella whilst italy took a shot, this wouldn't happen.

All of a sudden most German fans are pessimistic as shit because we apparently have never won against Italy in a World Cup or European Championship. I for one think we will beat the Italians and get revenge for 2006. And then if we play against Spain in the final we will (hopefully) get revenge for both 2008 and 2010.

Tonight's match was great. Italy won too. I doubt we'll beat germany tho.

I only caught around twenty minutes of it, but from what I saw, Italy well and truly deserved to win, although I'm guessing it would've been more satisfying for them to win during the game rather than in penalties at the end. Kinda sucks that England are out, but we played terribly and Italy definitely deserved it more than our players. I'm just a bit miffed because it was the first time in a while that it looked like we could have made the semi finals. Italy deserved the win, but england played brilliantly. Well, roll on the world cup!
