podolski didn't play well at all. like never in this tournament. He scored once but you wouldn't know how surprised we were. schweinsteiger wasn't in form at all. He even said it himself (i think). And Gomez...eh it can work, but Klose does much more, while Gomez just stands there waiting for the ball. Im not saying they all sucked (except podolski, god i hate him) but it would've went better if klose, reus and...whoever for scheinsteiger, or a change of system so they can play without him.

Not really, they took their chances well and defended solidly throughout the match. Germany had no attacking prowess in the first half and couldn't finish in the second. Germany were also awarded a lucky penalty.

Its odd, looking at just the match statistics, Germany played a much better game than italy, but watching the match you would have it as italy doing better.
In my opinion Italy have been saved by Buffon who is just an incredible keeper. Im a bit anoyed as i had 20 quid riding on germany beating spain in the finals.
