I'm going to watch the Portugal - Denmark match this evening with a lot of old friends. I hope that we can repeat the madness that was the match versus The Netherlands, because then we (Denmark) would actually be serious competitors in the tournament.
Personally I was surprised to see the Netherlands losing, although I shouldn't be since Denmark won Euro '92.

I think there's a reason Germany have 6 major titles under their belts. 3 Euros, 3 world cups. imo, easily the best team in the competition right now.
The only reason is that Germany works as a team, Holland just have an egomatic Robben who gives a shit to help in defense and just tries to get a predictable shot on goal. Afellay aswell didn't really make a move to defend when Germany attacked.
Holland needs a better connection from the back to the front, De Jong and Van Bommel are just two extreme defensive midfielders. Sneijder was the only man who really could get a ball to the front.
I don't know but I'm impressed how Gomez worked in defense and not just standing around in front of goal (what he usually did this season) the whole team performs well together, for example Khedira and Schweinsteiger are not just two defensive midfielders, they put work in attack when they're needed.
Best example was the run from Hummels, no one attacked him he could have easily scored the goal if he had a better finish.
