Mr Eko
Thor would have been much more enjoyable for me if they didn't try to shoehorn in the romance
Iron Man did romance well by putting it in the background, but in Thor they just shoved it in your face

Basically I wanted less sappy scenes and more Norse gods smashing stuff
The casting of a black guy as Heimdall always confused me somewhat, because of this line from the Lay of Thrym:
"Then Heimdall spake, whitest of the gods,"

I thought Thor was mediocre at best, the shoed in love interest arc really didn't help
maybe thisll be better??? idk

Well, it was part of the comics (I think), so that was reason enough for them to put it in.
But I get what you mean. I am so sick of the idea that all superhero movies absolutely need some shit romance story thrown in, usually so the love interest can get kidnapped at the end. We should be thankful that didn't happen.
Rumour has it that Viggo Mortensen will play Dr. Strange on Thor: The Dark World. It's just a rumour but I would be totally ok with this.
N'wah.
Some really awesome photos of a battle scene being filmed!

Casting seems pretty good. I love the first Thor movie quite a bit. Looking forward to this.
Thor has arrived on set

Probably just the camera quality but he looks clean shaven too.
well. they already made him a blonde... why not just make him all shiny and smooth too...
A peek at Zachary Levi as Fandral

They're gonna have to have romance since they set that premise up in the first Thor. But I agree with you about shoehorning romance. It's one of the reasons I hated that god awful Green Lantern film.
So what has been going on? Nothing much, filming continues and I think they're still in left Iceland with filming taking place in Fjaðrárgljúfur, Skógarfoss and Landmannalaugar

Other than that, London will play a major role in the movie. Lots of scenes were shot there.
And some plot spoilers from a stuntman that I believe to be legitimate because of how he was spot on with the Iron Man 3 info:
Thor becomes reunited with Jane who becomes [sp]possessed by a Dark Spirit, which is connected with the Dark Elves; a race the Asgardians have fallen out with many years beforehand [...] The Dark Elves attack Asgard, and they take a huge hit. So Thor has to rebuild Asgard by putting together an army to go and take the battle to the Dark Elves and defeat them. But the only way he can do this is – he needs to cross over to the Dark World, and the only person who has access to the dark side of Asgard is his old brother Loki, who at the beginning of the film is locked up in prison. [/sp]
So what happens is Thor basically has to negotiate this truce with [sp]Loki, and he goes on this great trek with Jane, all three of them. They go to this far side of Asgard, which is being shot in Iceland, where they train and assemble an army to go and attack the Dark Elves’ world. [/sp]
But the exclusive twist…is that one of the things that happens during the [sp]Asgardian attack is that Thor’s mother gets killed. So it becomes like a vengeance thing. And they were keeping very tight-lipped about what actually happens with Loki, you don’t know whether he redeems himself or he’s still the bad egg.[/sp]
There's also a report going on about that Natalie Portman was 'forced' into her contractual role as the romantic lead in this movie, despite a desire to back out. Perhaps she was still upset over the Patty Jenkins leaving this project over "creative differences"

I really don't like those suits :/
Was expecting something more medieval.
Hopefully it won't be some romatic comedy introduced with a fucking badass action scene like the first thor was. What a fucking disappointing movie.

Maybe it's just me, but I go into these types of movies expecting every failure, fault, and cliché in the book.
And yet, I was extremely pleasantly surprised by Thor.
First still of sorts. Hemsworth with the Director

Thor was the hero I knew least about and ended up enjoying him way more than the other films. Apart from Iron Man 1. He's easily my second favourite Avenger. Hulk doesn't count and his movie kinda blew anyway. I hope in Phase 3 they do Planet Hulk inspired story and then Avengers 3 is World War Hulk inspired.

If at the end of Avengers 2 Hulk was shot into space because he trashed shit up or something and couldn't be trusted. It'd be pretty good.

[sp]I guess it's not him but the helmet looked similar.[/sp]
All will be revealed in Tuesday's trailer. Keep a look out for it
