God fucking DAMN I HATE BMTH Soooo bad I'm not a huge fan of TRS but at least they don't look like faggots. I think they live in my town lol
Here Comes The Kraken and Salt the Wound are good. OH! is probably one of my favorite bands right now, even if searching for them is a bitch because of their name
Deathcore? Was Death Metal not hardcore enough?
Death Metal is fine, but Deathcore is much more technical. Basically Death Metal = Crushing/slow like heavy Deathcore = Far more complex/technical There are no less hard than each other, just different styles. Similar though

How is this, bar the first 30 or so seconds More technical than this? I'm sure someone will try to invalidate my argument by using a techdeath band, but rest assured there are death metal bands out that there aren't techdeath that are more technical than chug-chug-chug. I don't have any, because I prefer melody and Meshuggah/Fear Factory-esque music, which isn't that technical. If someone else wants to help me out here, go ahead; stage is yours.
yeah, but what sounds better...
yeah, but what sounds better...
If you're referring to the two songs I posted, then Anata, without a doubt. I'm in love with Anata. Them and Decapitated:

This just goes to show how little most deathcore fans know when it comes to metal.

Personally, I'm not a fan Deathcore, can never understand anything they say. But, before you say you can't hear it in any metal song. I memorized most of the lyrics to most of my favorite Death Metal/"Screamo" songs.
I like some deathcore I think All Shall Perish and The Faceless are good, but most of it's fucking terrible
Feel free to correct a djentlemen and death head if he's wrong, but if i remember correctly, the faceless are progressive death.
Feel free to correct a djentlemen and death head if he's wrong, but if i remember correctly, the faceless are progressive death.
Like it's been said earlier. The Faceless are technical death/deathcore. They aren't progressive death.

If anyone in this entire forum thinks All Shall Perish has no talent, you can go fucking die. They're the only deathcore band that combines hard hitting rhythms and talented melodies and shit that I doubt any other band can really do. Look at this: Hands down their 2 best songs.

I hate how everyone says that All Shall Perish sucks just because they look at their genre and see "EL OH EL DEATHCORE". They have meaningful lyrics, really awesome and complex songs, and they aren't scene.
Whitechapel, Carnifex, Chelsea Grin, Disfiguring the Goddess, the Red Shore, Misercordiam. Good deathcore. Bring Me the Horizon...they have their own genre, cockcore.
carnifex were supporting at a gig i went to recently, they were pretty terrible
Hhahah. This just goes to show how little most deathcore fans know when it comes to metal.
Don't lump all deathcore fans together as ignorant hicks please. Anyone with a brain knows that death metal is far more technical(in most cases, i'd guess there are some cases that break that rule) but all in all, most people aren't that stupid.

I don't mean to lump all of them together. It's just the majority of deathcore fans that I have dealt with are completely ignorant about things. Like the majority of the deathcore fans at my school are convinced that bands like Whitechapel and BMTH are "death metal" and are the typical scene brvtal type listeners.

I don't hate BMTH or Whitechapel, but they aren't bad bands, just non inventive and some what lazy bands. If they like that shit, they can eventually learn to like better stuff, and still like that.
Well shit guys I'm sorry I'm not an expert in a genre of music I started actually listening to a week ago. Your problems is that instead of actually contributing to a thread you worry about the absolute specific kind of music a band plays. So really you guys lose, not me if you think I'm going to google check things before I post them you can guess again, respect of people on an internet forum isn't something I paticularly crave

Plus people can listen to whatever they want and it's not my job to tell them what not to listen too. But I will however tell them how I feel if they bring it up.

That's like saying rap is more guitar-intensive than thrash metal because rap uses shredding guitar solos. It's just flat-out wrong.
if you think I'm going to google check things before I post them you can guess again, respect of people on an internet forum isn't something I paticularly crave
maybe you should actually do research before making assumptions that make you look stupid, no doubt you do the same IRL

All we did was point this out. We don't "lose". You're the one who posted false information. It's not like we're just going to ignore it or pretend it's right.
it's a standard childish response when faced with defeat, if he actually acknowledged he was wrong and not been all pissy about it it wouldn't be an issue
carnifex were supporting at a gig i went to recently, they were pretty terrible
Bonecrusher by any chance? Where bouts are you man? EDIT: read through parts of the thread, en-gauge mentioning faceless's vocals being average at best... You best be tripping boy. Seriously for a metal based genre those are pretty fucking good, they manage to retain some clarity.
