yep bonecrusher!
i was at the birmingham gig, black dahlia were immense and although i only caught one song of the faceless it was the song i wanted to hear (an autopsy) and the vocalist was crazy good
i'm guessing you were at the glasgow show the night before? assuming you went
Wanted to go and forgot about it :v: and yeah the glasgow gig.
Saw mastodon the other night at the barrowlands though, and they played aqua dementia :clint:
Well shit guys I'm sorry I'm not an expert in a genre of music I started actually listening to a week ago.
Your problems is that instead of actually contributing to a thread you worry about the absolute specific kind of music a band plays.
So really you guys lose, not me
if you think I'm going to google check things before I post them you can guess again, respect of people on an internet forum isn't something I paticularly crave
If you just started listening to the music a week ago, you don't have much of a place in creating a "megathread" on the subject, as you wouldn't know enough information. Also, to learn that information, you willhave to do research, in which you just said you would not do. Therefore, you are the loser, as you are still ignorant to what you are talking about.
Feel free to correct a djentlemen and death head if he's wrong, but if i remember correctly, the faceless are progressive death.
lol djentlemen
Well it makes sense, I'm a guy, who listens to djent most of the time, and djent sounds like gent, therefore djentlemen.
yeah I get it, just thought it was clever
Personally, I'm not a fan Deathcore, can never understand anything they say.
But, before you say you can't hear it in any metal song. I memorized most of the lyrics to most of my favorite Death Metal/"Screamo" songs.
I can understand a large majority of death metal/ and deathcore bands, probably because Ive been listening to the genre for such a long time though.
The new Suicide Silence album is easly the best deathcore/death metal (with more trve death metal influences) album. I also like Job for a Cowboy, BMTH, All Shall perish and Iwrestledabearonce.

You are everything that is wrong with deathcore
You are everything that is wrong with deathcore
You're cool
You are everything that is wrong with deathcore
Not really.
There are 2 sides to the deathcore coin, talent and popular. Most bands have either or, usually leaning towards the popular side. Suicide Silence is good and Lifted is their best song ever but compared to any All Shall Perish song it's so amateur it's not even funny.
BMTH
Case and point
Case and point
They're metalcore nowadays. At least moreso than they were.
Their first album was good but the second was just terrible and Oli Sykes is only parading off the fact he's a "hot emo kid" and shit, yeah. They're terrible now
The new Suicide Silence album is easly the best deathcore/death metal (with more trve death metal influences) album.
Statements like this are just absolutely retarded.
SUFFOKATE new album

this is great stuff IMO.

Pretty cool song
You are everything that is wrong with deathcore
Oh rly? Just beacause i like BMTH ?
Well, I just like some catchy music...
Deathcore bands just sound all the same...SS is better, iwrestledabearonce is different, BMTH is catchy, JFAC are more technical, All Shall Perish just look like another band but they sound a bit different. One of these days i will try Despised Icon, Carnifex and Whitechapel, it's "nomal" deathcore but people say that they are really good.
Oh rly? Just beacause i like BMTH ?
BMTH is the ultimate newjack band. Dropping them from your favorite deathcore band list would greatly increase your intelligence.
Now here is some great shit.

Fuck, have any of you techdeath heads actually thought that some people listen to deathcore maybe because it isn't so damn technical? I'm not bashing techdeath in any way, but people on both sides of this argument need to stop generalizing.
I disagree, I didn't like anything I heard off the first album at all but Suicide Season is HUGE guilty pleasure.
This is pretty much exactly how I feel.
I disagree, I didn't like anything I heard off the first album at all but Suicide Season is HUGE guilty pleasure.
lol I'd consider it my guilty pleasure too
The album Blood Mountain by Mastodon is the only Deathcore thing I can stand.
And it's really not very good.
The album Blood Mountain by Mastodon is the only Deathcore thing I can stand.

I can only think of 3 good deathcore bands.

because I said it's deathcore or because I said it's not very good or is there some other thing in there that I missed.
Like Ian D said Animosity is pretty fucking good. Most of the genre I don't enjoy though.
Something about the image and music just doesn't do it for me.
I'll stick to my grindcore thanks.
