That's exactly what thrash is!!! Metal with the energy of punk!!! GAAHHHHH!!!!!
maybe crossover thrash [editline]12:10PM[/editline]
If you like good lyrics, i suggest Misercordiam
lol i used to smoke weed in 8th grade and listen to whore in a trashbag or whatever that song was called good times, good times
No thrash was originally created because people didn't like the lack of energy in metal, and so brought over elements of hardcore punk.
No thrash was originally created because people didn't like the lack of energy in metal, and so brought over elements of hardcore punk.

Thrash metal is a subgenre of heavy metal that is characterized by its fast tempo and aggression. Thrash metal songs typically use fast, percussive and low-register guitar riffs, overlaid with shredding-style lead work.[1] Thrash metal lyrics often deal with social issues using direct and denunciatory language, an approach which partially overlaps with the hardcore genre. The "Big Four" bands of thrash metal are Anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica, and Slayer,[2] who simultaneously created and popularized the genre in the early 1980s. The origins of thrash metal are generally traced to the late 1970s and early 1980s, when a number of bands began incorporating the sound of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal,[3] creating a new genre and developing into a separate movement from punk rock and hardcore. This genre is more aggressive compared to its relative, speed metal, and can be seen in part to be a reaction to the lighter, more widely acceptable sounds and themes of glam metal.[4]
Hmmmmmm
It developed from punk and metal combining, go ahead listen to the the earliest of early thrash and tell me i'm wrong.
It developed from punk and metal combining, go ahead listen to the the earliest of early thrash and tell me i'm wrong.
i know what early thrash sounds like i don't even know why i'm arguing with you That's exactly what thrash is!!! Metal with the energy of punk!!! GAAHHHHH!!!!! oh right no.
What do you mean the energy "of punk" It's not like punk invented energy Photons did Thrash is just metal with more energy
The reason im arguing with you is because you asshats have declared on genre, to be 3!!! Metalcore Thrash Metallica hardcore PICK A FUCKING GENRE AND PUT IT ALL TOGETHER IN IT!!! EDIT: urrgh it's because early metal was slow and doomy most of the time, and had some energy, clearly some people wanted more, and brought some elements of punk across and made it happen :downs:
Why are people discussing the origins of thrash metal in a deathcore thread? [editline]09:54PM[/editline] And metalcore is metallic hardcore, at least it was. [editline]09:55PM[/editline] Which was kinda obvious from the name. [editline]09:57PM[/editline] Everybody should just chill out and listen to some Pantera. [editline]09:57PM[/editline] That, gentlemen, is undeniably metal.

Thrash is essentially a heavier, faster form of NWOBHM.
I honestly don't see the fun/enjoyment of listening to tech death...
I enjoy the bass technique.
I think that the over technicality can sometimes make the music undesirable, There is a tech death kid at my school, he is so annoying, he is always trying to show me bands that are "brutal" an refuses any band that isn't "technical", anyone else experienced this?
I think that the over technicality can sometimes make the music undesirable, There is a tech death kid at my school, he is so annoying, he is always trying to show me bands that are "brutal" an refuses any band that isn't "technical", anyone else experienced this?
it's called elitism
It's called personal preference, maybe he just likes technical metal, thers nothing wrong with that. But the whole not respecting your opinion is him being an elitist.
It's called personal preference, maybe he just likes technical metal, thers nothing wrong with that. But the whole not respecting your opinion is him being an elitist.
THis

What exactly is technical death metal, What makes it more technical than death metal, and who decided that.
Death Metal is fine, but Deathcore is much more technical. Basically Death Metal = Crushing/slow like heavy Deathcore = Far more complex/technical There are no less hard than each other, just different styles. Similar though
WTF DID YOU JUST SAY... "Deathcore Is Much More Technical" HOLY F****** S***, I CANNOT BELIEVE MY EYES RIGHT NOW.... That what you said right there has burnt my eyes IN NO WAY WHATSOEVER IS DEATHCORE "more" TECHNICAL THAN DEATH METAL, NO WAY WHATSOEVER... Gojira Nile Decapitated The Faceless Meshuggah (Experimental Metal) But If you didn't know are considered "Musical Geniuses" NOOOOOOO, Deathcore band could ever match the superior Technicality of these bands DEATH METAL OWNS, DEATHCORE SUCKS ASS [editline]06:42PM[/editline]
What exactly is technical death metal, What makes it more technical than death metal, and who decided that.
Well to be honest, Tech Death Metal, really just has faster guitar, and drums are superb, Alot more use of "Blast Beats" than normal death metal
So its just more skilled?
the only deathcore i've ever found worth listening to is the faceless, and even then i'd consider them more progressive death metal.
there not deathcore or progressive death metal, there technical death metal [editline]06:50PM[/editline]
so its just more skilled?
alot more yes
So if you had lets say a jazz band, and my jazz band was way better, my jazz band would deserve an entire new genre?
So if you had lets say a jazz band, and my jazz band was way better, my jazz band would deserve an entire new genre?
Oh HAHAHHA, Jazz is technical to begin with
Oh HAHAHHA, Jazz is technical to begin with
God you work yourself up over this. And alot of metal (especially technical death) is influenced by jazz music. Many jazz drummers could play metal, whereas many metal drummers couldn't play jazz.
God you work yourself up over this. And alot of metal (especially technical death) is influenced by jazz music. Many jazz drummers could play metal, whereas many metal drummers couldn't play jazz.
SHUTUP NICK, you know how passionate I am about music and drums
SHUTUP NICK, you know how passionate I am about music and drums
:psyboom: I do.
I was just using jazz as an example.
WTF...The Faceless aren't Deathcore There Technical Death Metal... Death Metal owns this shitty deathcore crap [editline]06:30PM[/editline] HAHAHA, oh man...Its Grindcore, not "Grind Metal" hahaha wow
Like i care, it's still the shittiest genre out there, right next to screamo.
Like i care, it's still the shittiest genre out there, right next to screamo.
Grindcore is great, bands like Napalm Death and Anal Cunt are class. Deathcore is the worst genre IMO.
