Austin, you're an unfunny cunt, and I cannot wait until you're banned for spamming that picture.
The real cause is mother nature itself: the temperature raises and lowers over time, it's completely normal.
There's no doubt humans are helping the process along though.

There's speculation thanks to the Climategate hackers if global warming has even been occurring at all over the past decade. The idea that humans are even a noticeable force in climate change is still open for debate, if you skip past Al Gore who still refuses to debate the topic.
Lets not forget a lot of the global warming alarmists 40 years ago were crying "Global Ice Age!"
Cows. They're better organized then you think.

I haven't seen even a single suspicious thing out of all this "climategate" nonsense.
And no they weren't you fucking tool. They were still talking about global warming, global cooling was a stupid fringe idea that was set upon by the media.
And Al Gore still isn't a fucking scientist, stop acting like anyone thinks he is.

No.

Well if the sun wasn't there we wouldn't have an issue with global warming.
Well if the sun wasn't there we wouldn't have an issue with global warming.
We also wouldn't have any problems if the ocean was white.
It's a natural process that the earth heats and cools.
It's happened before and anyone doing a little research knows it.
Al gore's peace price should be taken away.
He also ironicaly uses more electricity and has mores cars than bush and his crawford ranch.
And for those saying obama is doing our enviroment good, see op.
Stopping drilling in the u.s = more shipping of oil across the ocean.
We also wouldn't have any problems if the ocean was white.
That sounds like a plan. :v:

Yes. Now please, one of you fucking idiots who repeats this ad nauseam, can you tell me what we know about why the climate changes?
Fuck Al Gore.
Oil is a dead end.
That sounds like a plan. :v:
Let's break out the white paint then?
Oh and for those saying the U.S is a major cause, see china.
Their environment is so fucked up it's not funny.

I'd assume it is because the crust flows around the core and mantle causing differentials in temperature changes due to the fact that the mantle would be at different heats at different times.
Also the sun's light strength at different places at different times would have an effect I assume.
Keep in mind this is all a theory and I have almost no research backing it up.

China is developing though they have an excuse
i would have to say global warming is a problem especially for areas close to sea level since they will flood and possibly end up looking like venice
I don't believe in global warming at all. I started a research paper for my English class on it. I remember reading data that said something like the ice at the north pole is melting, but the water at the south pole is freezing over twice as much as the north pole is melting. I also read some of the hacked emails (50 or so) and know that they manipulated the data to hide the decline in temperatures. Also, up until 1960 tree rings as well as thermometer readings were used to measure temperature. Up until 1960, the tree rings and thermometers were showing a steady increase in temperatures. Then the tree rings started to show a decline in temperature, so the climatologists decided to stop collecting data from the tree rings calling them "inaccurate." I also remember in one of the emails they were talking about a trick to hide the decline in temperature, and in another email they were talking about how they could not justify the decrease in temperatures. Along with this, the past few years we have had record breaking low temperatures in my area (Maine) I am actually disappointed that Global Warming isn't real because it is way to damn cold up here right now.
I believe that Al Gore should have his Nobel prize taken and shoved right up his ass.
P.S. I have looked at/read parts of the book An Inconvenient Truth. Definitely not worth any ones time.
People who go against the scientific consensus will always make a fool of themselves.
It takes a lot of stick up your ass to think you know more than the scientific community.
posting in a facepunch global warming thread

Source.
Which email are you referring to, because I haven't seen a single convincing quote.
Tree rings aren't being used because they're disagreeing with a mode of measurement we know to be accurate. However, even if they're included in the overall graph the warming trend is still obvious.
Just watch this, he debunks everything you just said about those emails.

Fuck Al Gore, he's not a scientist.
An Inconvenient Truth isn't the basis of Climate science.
It hasn't been "proven false".
In the 1970's, about an equal number of glaciers were advancing and retreating. Today, all of them (except for one I think) are retreating. That's pretty good evidence that it exists IMO. As for the cause of it, who knows? Could be natural, could be human caused.
Wait, and scratch that "pretty good evidence that it exists" part i said before. It does exist. The earth is actually quite cool right now. There has only been ice at the poles five times in all of earth's history, and this is one of them.
The fuck? You totally contradicted yourself.
And no they weren't you fucking tool. They were still talking about global warming, global cooling was a stupid fringe idea that was set upon by the media.
Yes they were you fucking tool. And who's to say this isn't some fringe idea set upon by the media? Do you know how many people are making money from this bullshit scare? Al Gore and David Suzuki, to name a few, have made MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.
One thing we should make plenty clear here is reducing carbon emissions is not the same as reducing pollution. Reducing pollution has an obvious and proven effect on the health of both the environment and the humans occupying it. Reducing carbon emissions has a very highly contested and not even close to fucking proven effect on anything.
Though some climatoligists say that global warming is caused by CO2, others say that the current period of global cooling is caused by a lack of activity from the sun. But honestly, the worst part about this is that we have only been recording the earth's temperature for 150 years. 150 years, when trying to track something that may have cycles extending into 50,000 years OR MORE, is not accurate. Worse yet is we have not been recording either the CO2 levels OR sun activity levels throughout this period, so we have ABSOLUTELY NO FUCKING DATA EVER, AT ALL, TO BACK UP ANY CLAIMS.
Meanwhile, people/companies are raking in the cash, like one in western canada that promised to plant one tree for every dollar donated... an audit later indicates that rate was closer to one tree planted per 32 dollars donated. This is just one story in a world fucking made of them.
Oh, and just a little FYI: all of David Suzuki's degrees are Honorary. EVERY SINGLE DEGREE THE FUCKER HAS. In simple terms: he isn't worth shit, just like Al Gore. Not a single person talking about this problem has any idea what the fuck they're going on about because the so called "data" doesn't exist. It's that simple. You call climatological models "data"? Every single predicted model so far has been wrong, on both sides of the debate no less. Need more proof not a single fucking person on this planet knows what they're talking about?
We really should not be trying to fix problems that we can't prove are actually a problem. Poverty is a problem. So are cancer, heart disease, and AIDS. Why are we wasting time on this shit when we have no proof? Because it's much easier to make it look like you're doing something about the problem when there is no responsibility to fact in the first place, because there is no fact when there is no data. This is just another way to float money into the wrong hands while completely ignoring problems that actually exist.
Guy above me doesn't know what reading posts of people he argues with means.

Go look at all the scientific papers published peer reviews journals at the time of the so called ice age crisis. You'll notice that the vast majority of papers at the time were about global warming, not cooling. And you'd know that if you weren't a fucking tool.
Fuck Al Gore, he's not a scientist.
The current trend of global cooling is due to a combination of lower solar activity and the fact that we're going into an el nino. Even people who don't believe in anthropogenic global warming admit this
Ice cores. Bitch.
Yes, people do swindle other people. Your point?
Because we do have proof, and if you weren't such a fool, you'd know that.

I did watch the video. That guy was annoying as hell repeating that same quote. He didn't tell me anything I didn't already know as he did not read the emails either.
Global warming doesn't exist
The glaciers melt causing sea level to rise stopping the world currents that move heat around when the currents stop the poles become freezing yet again and the circle continues.

Watch the whole video. I know you have the attention span of a ferret on speed, but please, just try to muscle your way through it.
