It's just that everyone here feels like everyone else should Airsoft the way they want. I hate railed AKs, no one should have them! And then any opinion I have on anything is called into question because I haven't skirmished yet. There will be no magical revelation after my first game.
What ever i get my hands on. Right now thats all high-caps, but i would perfer a bunch of mid-caps.
You're missing the point.
Its not an opinion on the midcaps vs highcaps. High cap mags, or winding mags, simply give the player an unfair amount of ammo with no reloading downtime, in either reloading your mags on the field, or reloading your gun. Its no different than plugging in a 3000 round drum mag.
Nobody is forcing you to play at skirmishes and pick up games where they're banned. Just play at the shitty "airsoft fields" and cqb fields.
Mix of high and mid caps for my AEGs. Games here have lots of people and a lot like to run high ROF guns and spray the shit out of you. Then the whole not calling hits at ranges past 100ft, I really need the hicaps.
It's not that I like them, it's just that it's more practical for me to run hicaps if assholes ain't going to call shit all day.
For CQB, I'll run realcaps on the GBBRs, because the games seem to only last 20 min at most these days. That and I'm pretty damn good at shooting people out at close range with the GBBRs with just a couple of shots.

Besides, CQB City doesn't allow full automatic shooting, so there really isn't a point of worrying about sprayers with Steady Aim and Juggernaut.
They don't give an unfair advantage. They're cheaper and give more ammo. They're just avoided by elitists who don't want anyone to have fun. You could easily buy high caps. What if someone wants to play support but can't afford an LMG? and they're you're pointing out that the only fields that don't bam high caps are shitty.
I have two high caps for my M16 but when I get a new gun I'm going to only run midcaps with it.
I was using a motorized drum mag on my friends Shrike, then the fucking box mag dropped while running. Wire popped off and it became an overgrown hicap mag.
Yesterday sucked, wish I had hicaps for my WE M14 with the way things were going.
Real caps, I use gas blow back everything, like the realism.
Plus in my mind i'm a super sneaky ninja and *Rattle, Rattle* ruins that feeling.
I run all mids. I hate winding hicaps and the annoying ass noise they make
Also as previously stated, reloading is fun and adds realism and intensity to the game.
I prefer midcaps/lowcaps for realism. Also the rattling noise that hi-caps make can make you sound like a giant maraca, which really sucks when you're trying to be stealthy.
Midcaps but I have yet to field them. I've only ever played with the one hicap a gun comes with which is the pro way~
No, there's a reason why we don't allow high-caps at most of our games too. 200 round magazines allow people to spray for minutes on end, which makes it a lot less fun for everyone else when there's one guy constantly spraying you down. Highcaps also partly negate the main bonus of people using LMG's. Plus, there's that god-awful rattling noise you hear when you're running alongside them.
This.
Like i said, i wish i had mid-caps, but all i can afford/get my hands on seems to be high-caps.
With the club that I organize, we don't ban hi caps altogether but we have a rule that you can't use full auto unless you have a LMG. Getting hosed is annoying as fuck and ruins the immersion.
I use real caps (GBBR all the way).

I'm really tempted to get one of those 10/22s like you have
High caps, I use fully auto very often.
IMO hicaps should only be used on LMGs
c-mags on m4s and the like are stupid, I hate when a kid shows up with that. it's worse than hi-caps
[editline]29th August 2011[/editline]
and those super hicaps with like 1000 rounds that are electronic wtf
Bought high caps, realized my mistake. Buying mid caps from now on and loading them to real cap levels.

Fantastic investment though i'm gonna admit the stock hop up has failed me alot recently gonna start getting a new inner barrell and hop up.
But other than that the gun performs pretty solidly.
Three Hi-caps (2x300 stanags and one VN 190)
Also got a 5k box, but I don't use it, because it's ghey. And heavy. And rattles like hell.
I have five 120 rd midcaps and two 450 rd hicaps.
I have 10 75-round Emags and 1 (broken) 450-round STANAG.
5 95 round KA G36 mids and 1 ECHO 1 470whatever hicap.

There was this guy at my field once who modified (heavily) a KART M14 into a BAR and used some of those 1000 round auto-wind M14 mags. That's the one time I said it was ok since it was technically a support weapon.
Shit, I think I'll do that sometime.
please no kman
at least be proficient at the reassembly of tm-style ak bolt carriers first
