Hate to say it but... You're just wrong.
Cod games can never be in the same league as bf games in sounds.
I haven't played any COD games recently other than Black Ops 3, but the weapon noise (shooting, reloading, etc) all sound very crisp and hard-hitting.
I love how Facepunch posters love telling people to respect others opinions until its an opinion about something they dont like
Because you compared cod to BF and said it was way better.
It's like comparing the sound of a 1 liter engine to a V8.
Recent bf sound has been more technically impressive but ever since they started using straight rips of gun sounds instead of modifying them to be beefier/unique its just been boring
Meanwhile, cod has kept all of its weapons sounding relatively distinct, even if the tech isnt really that good
And that's why cod sucks in terms of gun sounds, when you got guns that sound like shit 90% of the times, or just don't sound right at all.
MW3 was a big culprit in this. The M4 and the AK iirc sounded so fucking wrong, and the deagle and .44 magnum had their sounds swaped.
I swear the deeper a cod series goes, the worser things sound.

Once they stopped mixing eagle screams and tiger roars into their gun sound effects they just haven't had the impact they used to.
It always bothered me they started using direct sounds in Battlefield. A microphone can't pick up the intensity of using a tool that uses small explosions to propel hunks of lead at incredibly fast speeds. I mean if you aren't going to have high recoil because of game design at least make them sound chunky.
It really throws me off every time they say UNSA instead of UNSC

They still do some modifying of sounds since each of their microphones picks it up differently
