An innocent kid is facing the wrath of Anonymous and Lulzsec because of mistaken identity

As much as the retard in the video is just that, a retard in a video. he did kinda fuck over this group of people by making them attack the wrong guy thus appearing fucking stupid.
What's your definition of nothing?
The thing is Anon actually has causes and tries to do things for the better while lulzsec just hack stuff purely for their own entertainment at the harm of consumers.

Some would argue that the lulzsec "hacks" are helping increase the security of the systems they attack, but that's not really their intent.

If that were true they wouldn't release it to the public.
Damn, this is pretty sad. I feel sorry for the poor kid who got involved.
If that were true they wouldn't release it to the public.
Which is how we know it's not their intent. At least it's scaring other sites into making sure that their security is less vulnerable...
And this will be used as "evidence" that internet anonymity is a bad thing by some dumbass politicians later.
Great fucking job Anon.
They're doing it because they can - I'm sure they're having fun.
Heh, script kiddies. I love these fellas. Using SQL injections then claiming they're "hacking". Adorable.
They may not be "hacking" (pro-tip: they are, look up the definition sometime) but finding exploits like these are a good thing, even if that's not what they intended to do.
How do you know Thomas Ogan?
Does he live near you or do you have him friended on facebook or...?
Oh it's always warms my heart when Internet Drama end up with FBI kicking down your door.
Heh, script kiddies. I love these fellas. Using SQL injections then claiming they're "hacking". Adorable.
Doesn't help that these companies are getting their networked owned by kiddy scripters then...
Especially when I fucking trust them to not leak my unencrypted PII and credit information information, good job Sony for failing to protect your customers.
And don't try to spin this around blaming on the consumer, it is most definitely the company's failure that lead to this.
Well that blows. Hope the kid pulls through.
Information like that should be encrypted also.
what is lulzsec
what is lulzsec
Buncha /b/ retards. Don't need a lot of brainpower to work that out.
Some would argue that the lulzsec "hacks" are helping increase the security of the systems they attack, but that's not really their intent.
Well that's a pretty shitty argument considering how they aren't even giving Sony a chance. They're just constantly hacking Sony because they think they're oh so funny stealing people's credit card info.
That's why I don't put that much info on my Facebook, you can get randomly fucking attacked by people for doing nothing.
And don't try to spin this around blaming on the consumer, it is most definitely the company's failure that lead to this.
They didn't. Have you not seen the Sony briefing at E3?
That's why I don't put that much info on my Facebook, you can get randomly fucking attacked by people for doing nothing.
My FB says I live in Hawaii.
ThomasOgan- master troll.
that or LulzSecurity is waaaaay dumber than we thought.
seriously though, why the shit would they waste their time with him, he's hardly worth it.
Both.
apparently my name is "James Cameron"
when you make avatar's sequel please don't fill it with greenpeace hippy propaganda
That is sad, I mean shouldn't they make sure before they attack someone like that?
oh so what has anonymous moved from ddos attacks to metasploit? Maybe one day they might really grasp how to hack.
Heh, script kiddies. I love these fellas. Using SQL injections then claiming they're "hacking". Adorable.
SQL Injection IS hacking.
See, retard "Anon" groups like this comprise of 4% of people who know how to actually do shit and the other 96% is fucking dipshits who think typing a person's name into Google along with a location is "1337".
Those 96% dipshits end up pulling shit like this because they figure "Well, it's only about a 2% match, but that's good enough for me!" and pass their "info" along to the rest of the group.
My feelings do go out to the 15 year old Ogan and I hope that fucknut who started this shit gets what he deserves.
Also, you'd figure, Lulzsec being the "experts" that they are would have double-checked their info and made sure they had the right person. And even if they didn't, you would at least FIGURE they would go after the right person.

The shitpile of humanity in one place.
/v/ is pretty shitty, too.
Why the fuck did they name themselves Lulzsec, I mean really.
And the random acts of Anonymous used to be good. They picked people who were without a doubt responsible for some fucked up act or another, and did things that weren't over the top, but it progressively led into shit, and they are all pricks now. The whole Jessie Slaughter bullshit was the beginning of the end I believe.
You should shut up, you idiot. Why would this be funny?
Internet drama.

Pretty much, I miss the days where they would track down people who killed animals and shit, now all we're hearing about is either tormenting some kid they think is annoying (or in this case, mistaken for someone) or hacking big companies with a shitty purpose.
