The worst cringe was the ubisoft(?) dancing clowns with girlwood girl though, don't know why it wasn't included
because then the video wouldn't have a duration of 4:20??????????????
Jamie and Zac probably didn't want to miss a chance to smoke some weed with Snoop, I mean, who wouldn't want to smoke with Snoop?
[T][/T]
This and the new Clanky Tom -game. Why do they do these fake gameplays with "real" players? It's fucking awful!
They are real players though. At least two of the guys in that vid are from the DKVine forums:

E3 always has awkward stage presence.
I'm convinced that when you get such a massive congregation of some of the most socially awkward people together, and have them do reveals for products that nobody even knows if the crowd is going to like or not, its a hotbed for cringe and awkward moments. Throw in some extracurricular unfunny jokes, excessive swearing that screams "hey guys look im cool, i can swear a lot" and then bringing in all of these celebrities to play the games??? it really just feels too try hard.
In my opinion E3 needs to clean up its act, focus less on the flashy bullshit, become a bit more professional, stop cussing so fucking much and present games that speak for themselves. I'm sure others are going to have differing opinions than I do, maybe it is truly all in good fun, I dunno.

I think the main problem is that they go "hey look at this live unscripted gameplay with real gamers guys!" and then show an extremely scripted, edited together video of footage while people pretend they're actually playing a game (in Ubisoft's case at least). They might have actually played the game themselves with the pirate one, but the way Microsoft presented it was awful.

E3 did clean up a bit this year. I think it was a very deliberate decision to not let Todd Howard present in the Bethesda conference after last year, and Aisha Tyler didn't do anything as terrible as "human sized meme" like last year. Not to mention a lot of raw gamplay was shown like with Battlefield 1 and Legend of Zelda. It was one of the better E3's in a long time.
The Blood Dragon bit was intentionally weird. Plus Dean is a massive wrestling fan so any chance to do an intro like that isn't one he'd pass up.
Yeah, the Blood Dragon bit was supposed to be self aware and deliberately tacky/over the top just as the actual game is. With the exception of the forced/canned applause and the one guy getting his hair messed with as one of the Blood Dragon devs walked out, I'd say the rest probably could have been excluded as it was too deliberate and intentionally self aware.
Self awareness does not make it okay...
Nothing awkward about Jose Sanchez like they seem to think. He's just acting like he always does.
Hopefully 'cringe culture' will collapse in on itself soon

I can agree that it may be real players with real gameplay but they've just been told to keep it PG or something thus completely destroying any real emotions they might feel because they have "Keep it PG! Keep it PG!" echoing in their head all the time.
