I'm in the process of recoding the ratings backend (For the API, and just some cleaning). I'm going to bring back the messages you get after rating a post (thanks babe, etc). If you have messages from way back when or have witty ideas please post them.
Also, if your section thinks there's a want of a custom rating, now would be a good idea to get those in. (And show me a discussion about it not just something you came up with and PMed to me)

I have stayed a lurker for a while.. But I think this is worthy of a response. Thanks. On that same note, maybe a "thanks" rating? I know, useless, But I think it would work good.

I like the idea of a thanks rating. Although I think it might just be used in the same way as polite/nice/friendly.

We had a thanks rating once (Was a plus symbol), imho it's covered under polite or useful.
