You were sometimes not liked, but you were always respected. Becoming disrespected in your own community for unprofessional, unfriendly behaviour probably isn't the way forward for facepunch as a whole. Keeping you main consumer base placated a big deal than you think it is, particularly if you want to launch products other than GMod in the future.
