He basically explicitly said that people's word/ opinions wasn't enough to justify demodding him, yet here you are proposing to compile some data which shows people's opinions to compel garry to demod him?

I don't buy Call of Duty because I hate Activision's image and treatment of their employees/franchises. The same rule applies to Garry, if I was a new user and I wanted to buy a custom title my perception of Garry might affect whether I thought I should make the purchase the only real difference is that Garry's consumer base is smaller and centred around this forum, which makes it all the easier to affect.

Okay, Garry wants proof of Benji's inadequacies before he will take official action, but he said that he [i]is[/i] willing to act if proof can be given to him. That seems like a fair compromise to me. I think that our end of this deal is clear: watch for it, note it, and present it as objectively as possible. Change often doesn't come overnight, but with persistence and reason it happens nontheless.
In the meantime we should go about our business and keep a close eye on the goings-on of the forum, particularly the aspects of it in which we would most like to see change. This thread, "Ask us about the forums," is the community's link to the moderators, and they will definitely keep everybody up-to-date on what is going on behind the scenes. I think that everyone should feel free to voice their concerns here, but it's also everybody's responsibility to make sure that they're being respectful and level-headed while they do it.
Yelling and name-calling and making demands [i]will not help anything[/i]. I want to see things get back to normal as much as anybody else, but Garry isn't the only one responsible for making that happen: we all have to be willing to compromise as well. We have to be willing to give it time, to build our arguments, to make our voices heard in an appropriate manner. Garry will never respond to violence or anger, so we have to prove ourselves capable of rationality.
If you see anybody acting out in this counter-productive manner, I urge you to remind him of this. Ask him to calm down, maybe to take some time to think things over for a while before he submits his argument. Nobody else needs to get banned here, but people acting out like that probably will be: and we've already lost too much. We've had several great moderators resign or be demoted and many prominent members of the community lost for good. If we don't manage to control ourselves, we'll only see more of this.
