Wait, what are we actually trying to find proof of?
Bad modding or what?
This thread is going faster than my right hand on a saturday night.
Okay, Garry wants proof of Benji's inadequacies before he will take official action, but he said that he is willing to act if proof can be given to him. That seems like a fair compromise to me. I think that our end of this deal is clear: watch for it, note it, and present it as objectively as possible. Change often doesn't come overnight, but with persistence and reason it happens nontheless.
In the meantime we should go about our business and keep a close eye on the goings-on of the forum, particularly the aspects of it in which we would most like to see change. This thread, "Ask us about the forums," is the community's link to the moderators, and they will definitely keep everybody up-to-date on what is going on behind the scenes. I think that everyone should feel free to voice their concerns here, but it's also everybody's responsibility to make sure that they're being respectful and level-headed while they do it.
Yelling and name-calling and making demands will not help anything. I want to see things get back to normal as much as anybody else, but Garry isn't the only one responsible for making that happen: we all have to be willing to compromise as well. We have to be willing to give it time, to build our arguments, to make our voices heard in an appropriate manner. Garry will never respond to violence or anger, so we have to prove ourselves capable of rationality.
If you see anybody acting out in this counter-productive manner, I urge you to remind him of this. Ask him to calm down, maybe to take some time to think things over for a while before he submits his argument. Nobody else needs to get banned here, but people acting out like that probably will be: and I don't want to see anybody else lost. We've had several great moderators resign or be demoted and many prominent members of the community lost for good. If we don't manage to control ourselves, we'll only see more of this.
For the love of all that is holy, if you people only read one post in this thread, let it be this one. You don't have anywhere near enough ammunition as it stands now - leave it and come back if/when he's done something horrible.
Change often doesn't come overnight
It did here.
Proof of what? Be specific? Links to picture of bans in the events list ISN'T PROOF. Links to pictures of other moderators opinions ISN'T PROOF.
If you're so inclined on being the judge, jury and executioner, look at the posts Benji banned for and look at the threads he closed.

I conur. I've already lost my main and my secondary to this madness.

This is getting better and better. :munch:

what do you consider proof then? or are you just going to continue to wear blinders?

Could you say what is proof then?
In the parlor, with the candlestick.
Haha, I thought that as I posted

No one says it better than you do.
this guy has the right idea, democracy is wrong, we must all bow down to the great leader

unsure if you're being sarcastic or not, but its not that democracy is wrong, its just that facepunch is not and will never be a democracy. there is a defacto ruler and his last say is definite and cannot be overturned
BDA is prime mod material
I'm beginning to lose faith in the populace of Facepunch. Live and let live.
I conur. I've already lost my main and my secondary to this madness.
Yeah, how about you keep it respectful then and not call garry a "big baby". Think before you post.
Garry, I respect the fact that you can indeed manage these forums very well, but mods and things should be managed like a democracy. The majority wants someone out, they're out, majority wants someone in, they're in. I understand that this could often go wrong but Facepunch is a community mostly made up of awesome and intelligent people, so something like this should work very well.

Garry I fucking hate you you're being an asshole and ruining the forums
Remod hezzy and then get the fuck out of here
(User was permabanned for this post ("Bye" - garry))

He's not Judge Judy and executioner!
Garry, can you just stop all of this, go back to the old forum and start everything from the way it was 2 weeks ago ?
It's going to far.
Please.
I don't care if Benji is still a mod, i want the forum back when it's worked.
Garry, please respond I want to know if I can do a poll or not. If nothing else to try and put this discussion in a thread where people who don't know about this discussion might actually see it and start a legitimate debate rather than "OMG U FAG GARY IZ HITLER" or "BENJI NEDZ 2 B BAND"
If I wanted a poll I'd make one myself. Please stop asking.
Jesus, the Ticker is getting raped. Blue Text everywhere!
Garry, whatever happened to Gwilty?
or was he just a gimmick that you played along with?

Reality check: This is an internet forum.
If you don't like it then leave. I don't see what your problem is really.
so garry demodded almost every good moderator nice one garry

Going to far? It's just an argument over the internet. Now someone dieing or a war.

not even a system restore of facepunch type deal would do any good.
there's still a big chance the mods won't want to come back. th89 resigned and hezzy is being (understandably) difficult about getting is admin back
Precisely. I say we have a thread for people to discuss their evidence, and then it should be formally submitted to garry after it is accumulated by one person whom all evidence is sent to. Likewise, a representative for Hezzy should be found (maybe garry) and we should treat this a bit more maturely.
While I understand that some are unhappy with Benji's moderation style, I believe this to be a little unfair. He isn't some sort of monkey to be studied from in the comfort of a laboratory. Besides, any "proof" that will be dug up from here on in will be riddled with bias.

Oh, and suck my dick while you're at it. My dog hasn't been fed so it'd be cool it you took care of that too.
