Of Course i would, I'd pump that bastard with Lead, he would see no mercy.
it's about killing another innocent person instead of having the loved one killed.
Hell yeah I would
I wouldn't be proud of it, but if it was the love of my life or my mother i'd do it in a heartbeat if there were no other options.
nope
So the question is "would you rather be responsible for the death of a loved one or the death of a stranger?" How stupid.
If the person had done something to deserve dying in order to save said loved one, yes. For example: Kidnap, rape, ... And whether or not I could with limited risk to myself pull off the same rescue without killing the person.
Yes. Without question. I wouldn't even feel bad about it either.
I will gladly kill any person causing harm to people who are benevolent.
More importantly, would YOU DIE to save someone YOU LOVE?
I would. Actually the father of my ex-girlfriend told me once that if I would crash my car with the girl and I would survive and she would die, he would kill me. And he meant that seriously. I was fucking scared. Although I would probably do the same. :v:

So that's fucked up.
no
More importantly, would YOU DIE to save someone YOU LOVE?
Yes. I would do that as well.
Maybe, it depends on how much I care for that person.
Maybe, depending on who I had to kill, and how you had to kill them. If someone was threatening their life, yes. If i have to choose between him/her and some 5 year old I've never met, No. Shooting someone and just "choosing" for them to die makes a difference, too.
Depends on who I kill and who for really..
I've been debating this with my family because criminality has been raising in my country. Things like assaults in the metro and people's homes are tending to happen a lot, and since I have a house in the suburbs and the fact that when me and my parents leave for work (me for uni) leaving the old folks at home (my grandfather, 95yo and aunt 60yo), the house is vulnerable for an assault. I currently have an alarm pistol at home and some hunting shotguns, registered as hunting weapons. Problem is we don't have pistols, and according to the law here if the criminal has a pistol and I have a shotgun, if I kill or shoot the man, I go to jail because I had a bigger gun. It's revolting and idiotic! The Portuguese law seems to protect the criminal better than the victim. It's like they prefer a call to the 112(911) to report a dead person than a dead criminal who threatened our lives. Funny thing is that if I manage to catch the criminal legally, in the majority of cases they are just set free on parole... If you wanna ask me. I fear the day when some motherfucker steps inside my house with a gun mostly because I will shoot him immediately and go to jail for protecting my own family from death. I'd probably had to clean up the mess and hide the body just not to go to jail and that would haunt me and my family for the rest of my life. Now don't get me wrong, I don't believe in life-sentence and death-sentence, I do believe people learn from mistakes. The thing is, I can't sit by while my family has a gun pointed to their heads with the lingering possibility of death or harm in the air. (and this is a last resort) People who put other people's lives in danger are no longer functioning under laws or any rules and if one can no longer bring them back, they should be dealt with and the threat contained.
If they're going to be responsible for my loved one's death, yes. If they're innocent, still yes. In a situation like this, you're faced with making a choice and considering options. The choice in this case is "Who must die". As terrible as it sounds, I would kill the innocent person because they are of no importance to me. If I don't kill them, then the person who I love and probably hold in great importance, dies (obviously). I care about my loved one more than the innocent person.
A necessary evil. Life is much less enjoyable without people you love. That and it's not evil. It can be used for evil things, but love has lead to innovation, creativity, inspiration, culture, etc.
Killing another to save another to benefit yourself is rather objectivist if I'm honest. [editline]16th January 2012[/editline]
What if it was like, your son or your daughter or someone like that? [editline]6th January 2012[/editline] Do you have emotions? :(
Love I have no problem with, it's infatuation I have a problem with. But no, regardless of who it is I would not kill another person.
Yes. I'd simply just drive down to Chattanooga's underpass where all the homeless people live and kill an old one. No one will notice or care.
If I had to, then yes, I would. It'd be a slap in the face if someone told me they loved me, and then allowed me to die a death that was preventable.
Yeah, i'd do it. If my Litte brother and Ma' had guns to their head i'd open fire without a second thought. I wouldn't regret it if it meant saving my Family.
Well...depends. I mean if some asshat broke into my house and held a gun up to a family member's head, yes. I would probably lethally beat the shit out of them, however, if I had to kill a random guy that had nothing to do with it then probably not.
no
Yes. One life is no more valuable than another. So why not kill the one you don't care about to save the one you do? In the end the amount of death is unchanged so why not pick death that will make one happy?
If some cracked out maniac had a knife to my best friends throat, it would cross my mind.
I would have to see the person I would kill. If he is genuinely a good person and did nothing wrong, I would have to think real hard. On the other hand, if the guy I would have to kill is a terrible person and doesn't really function at all in society, I wouldn't hesitate. Just me though.
I'd totally do it, but I'd like to know who the person is. I personally wouldn't mind (in that context, it's not like I'd do it right now) killing a random stranger in the street, but I'd have to think about it if I knew something about the person.
