Not the kind of thing you really think about, I'm pretty sure if it happened to one of us, no one would save the stranger and no one would even ask themselves who they should save.
So yes, definitly. Hell if it's someone I really love I'd even kill two.
I would but if i came down to it i would rather kill 15 people that were given the same offer then one innocent person.
Yes. I would. We are all equal, but I believe If I can put my own life on the line to save another who could be something greater than I, then I will do it no matter the cost.
Depends on who it is ,but mostly a yes. I'd make sure it was quick and painless.
So many pascifist ass pussies here its sickening. Its like you people say fuck you to reasonable thinking and logic just to prove you're some sort of expert at avoiding any form of violence or conflict; even if the scenario includes your own loved ones about to be exterminated. FUCKING pathetic. Its really sad how spineless some Europeans have gotten..I love your peoples continent so much but I just wanna slap you people so bad for being such spineless VAGINAS.
Yes absolutely. I wouldn't truly love them if I said no.
This.

Wow, that's a pretty.... dense.. view.
Yes I would kill for somebody I loved.
Probably not
Seeing as there's nothing after death, killing isn't really justified EVER. (assuming that the other person wasn't going to be directly and intentionally responsible for the death of others)
Fuck yes I would, I'd kill an army to save her.
This is just terrible, what kind of a person is willing to kill thousands of people for their own selfish desires?

America! FUCK YEAH!
As far as I'm concerned, if someone attacks me or someone I care about with the intention of taking our lives, they have forfeited their own. So yes, I would, with no hesitation.
Yes. I have never seen killing as inherently wrong, killing is only wrong in a given set of circumstances. There are in fact just wars, and killing criminals is just too IMO.
From the possible scenarios where I'd have to choose to directly kill someone in order to save someone I love would be the person that I love being attacked by said person.
In that case I would not hesitate to kill them.

Haha..I see what you did there..you assumed because I'm an advocate of personal responsibility I Must be some "amuricas the bestest" Bible thumping nationalist cunt. WRONG
Trust me Guy..id rather be living in southern Spain with the rest of my family than in this retarded ass place.
I have to say yes, I would.
If I saw my girlfriend in danger and I could reduce or diminish that danger in any way, I would do whatever it takes to do so. Whether that is claiming another life or not, I'd do anything in my power to make her safe and to keep her that way, and deal with the consequences at a later time. It's the overriding passion that is only really understandable to anyone who has really been deeply romantically engaged with someone. Logic, morality and common sense go out the window when you're tasked with protecting the one you love.
Lets put it like this. If I would kill a few thousand to obtain a philosophers stone (FMA reference), then surely I can kill one to save a loved one.
I'd kill someone if it meant saving my lover's life. I'd most likely feel horrible afterwards though, because pretty much what I've done is give what I almost went through to another group of people and their dead friend.

If I really had to, I would hope I could make it quick and painless.
Maybe something like chloroform cloth, then inject them with something that would kill them painlessly
[editline]8th March 2012[/editline]
Just checked wikipedia, chloroform can make a person feel no pain, and then giving them enough kills them
Good question, it all depends on the context.
A. Forced to kill an innocent person to save someone you know : Terrible situation for the other, they are completely unaware and they don't deserve to die. It all depends on your morality.
B. Someone is trying to kill someone you know: Obviously you kill them or let whomever be killed.
I personally would have a hard time doing the former, it would all depend on the context, like I said. If it was someone innocent I don't think I could do it.
It would be interesting to tap into my primal instincts and kill someone, so I guess I would under the pretenses such as saving someone I loved.

Doesn't work that way and to be honest the question in general cannot really be discussed because we act completely differently in the actual situation. All of you are aware of how awkward it is to be put on the spot for something simple, such as someone calling you out and that is simply on an everyday basis.
Unless you have gone through training or have a specific brain type (they have classifications for them) that makes you pick fight over flight, you will most likely freeze up. We are not used to stressful situations where life and death are involved because we live a pretty damn comfortable life, especially if youre posting on the internet. There are obviously exceptions to this, but a perfectly reasonable person on here who refuses to kill could act completely differently when the actual event happens. For all you know adrenaline could kick in and you end up shooting the person 15 times even after the first two brought the person down in question, simply because you can't stop out of fear or anger. Our bodies are extremely complex and for us to make this decision with a clear head just does not make the question one that is truly answerable. Morals are something we have learned as a society and during situations like this when morals are stripped away you have no idea how a human will act while desperate.
I do some seriously dumb shit when someone I love is in danger, so yes I probably would.
always
this stranger means nothing to me, while this person i love means everything
Define love.
define relevance

This is very true.
in heavy rain i only did half of the things and then used the clues i knew to figure out where he was lol
and i got it right lolz
Yes.
A very easy yes, actually.
Hell yeah.
always

And what if you were the random person? Would you be happy that someone was going to kill you to save another completely random person? I doubt it.
Watch Taken, the guy kills a thousand men to save his little girl.
But the truth is that we don't know, now you say you know, but it's like thinking how would you react if a friend die, probably most of you wouldn't even hesitate, you would prefer to live with a kill in your head and a important life saved than a hole on your heart and feeling guilty for not saving that person.
But, as I said before, we shall know when the moment arrive.
