An aggressive approach is the only good way to deal with cheating, it raises the cost substantially and causes a lot more work for cheat developers. It also causes a lot of issues for paid cheat devs because if people are being banned every 1-2 days using their hacks, they get a lot of heat on them and people wanting to chargeback.
What I really liked, no, LOVED about Overwatch anti-cheating measures is that they made anti-cheat check the hacking machine for something persistent - a lot of people couldn't figure out what, because changing HDD, reinstalling system and wiping the cheats after getting banned and buying a new copy prompted to another anti-cheat ban.

I get the application here and applaud it's efficacy, but that kinda sounds....rootkit-y to me too in a sense - is there any transparency or independent third party that can confirm what exactly the game is looking at (without releasing to the public, but atleast verified as safe)?

If I had to guess, it's using hardware IDs somehow to generate a unique value ala seeded random numbers.

Well that's good at least. I'll give his videos another shot then, he does some genuinely great runs and i enjoyed them, just pet peeves and all that :v:

Supposedly, she attends Yale as seen on her "artwork" section.
How can you be this dumb and still attend at an Ivy league school?
Affirmative action maybe? idk

Probably just that she was smart in one area or worked very hard to get there but is stupid in many others.
I used to have a flatmate that was extremely successful academically because she had a really good work ethic and studied a lot because she wanted to do well, but she was kinda dumb in so many other ways as well as completely lacking common sense in her general day to day activities.
I'd bet a lot of people that go to top schools are the same.
