Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Trailer - General

I don't regret playing through all 50+ hours of it. It has a lot of charm, it helps you understand and appreciate the lore and story, and finishing it to start playing Witcher 2 will blow your fucking mind. The gap between the two games makes you wonder if the second one was actually made by the same people. Plus, the price has gone as low as $2.50, so you can't go wrong.

You don't need to play TW1 to understand TW2 but TW1 should be played anyways. TW1 is more about Geralt trying to discover who he is in a changing world and trying to get to the bottom of a mystery whereas TW2 is about another giant mystery and politics

I tried playing The Witcher 1, it was okay until I got to the second act and had to talk to an NPC that didn't spawn. Witcher 2 is fantastic though.

And nilfgard are not that bad in books. I mean yeah they murder everyone who stands in their way, but who doesn't? On the other side they have manufactures, working laws and stuff, generally less fucked up shit then everywhere else. Also no feminist prevert mages, which is also a good thing.

I think I'm going to read the witcher books. I absolutely love this story! Also I said it in the news section and I'll say it again. Geralt is definitely now my man crush after this trailer.

Read them about half a year ago. The game is full of references to the books, and it really fleshes out the world and characters even more.
