Tired of History Channel treating spiritual folklore as historical fact

It's their channel they can show whatever they damn well please. If you don't like it don't watch it.
Besides, it is part of history.
It's not the Fact Channel, it's the History channel, meaning it's what happened in history, even if that means delving into the mythological beliefs of people.
Give this man a medal
it's all they have.
In world history we had to learn the torah because that's all there was, it was the only record taken back then that still exists today
The name of the channel is what it is, history. Religion is history, ghosts are history, I am history.
Why is there so many people bitching about TV channels getting worse lately ?
I remember a brief transition phase between the Hitler Channel and the Modern Myths Channel, they actually showed something about Tutankhamen and another thing about ancient Greece. They put an end to that nonsense immediately.
It is true that they can't ignore things which people believed (Otherwise it wouldn't really be proper history), but not continuous programmes about things people still believe.
Deadliest Catch was pretty interesting the first few seasons. Though now it's gone and done what Meet the Osbournes did with "reality" TV.
I miss that one show with R. Lee Ermey on History.
He has a new one on the military channel, though it's a lot different from Mail Call.
some of the programs on the new History Channel are okay, but I agree with everyone (mostly) that they don't belong on history channel. I say move the paranormal shit to other channels like SciFi
SciFi can go eat a dick, the whole channel pretty much sucks now since they became SyFy
Discovery needs more Mythbusters and less Paranormal shit
Mythbusters, Survivorman (fuck bear grylls), and maybe some TimeWarp. Occasionally I enjoy Deadliest Catch.
Heh, only now is History Television airing Generation Kill.
Most of television has gone down the shitter. News stations, The History Channel, Discovery, Cartoon Network, all things Disney. I've quit watching TV altogether, there's nothing worth watching.
There's an independent film channel (IFC) that occasionally shows really good films. A while ago they had an Andrei Tarkovsky Marathon. I only caught the middle of Solaris. :c
I think it's funny how History/Discovery go through annoying phases
(Hitler Channel/Ghost Channel etc)
Can't forget shark week.
I've been bitching about this for a year now.
They do stuff on the Templars, Masons, Nostradamus, and Jesus vs. Satan EVERY GODDAMN DAY. That is why I watch the Travel Channel now.
Travel channel is all about Las Vegas now. It seems everytime I turn it on...VEGAS!
Who DOESN'T read the Bible these days?
At least it aint as bad as Canada's History Television. They do nothing but show two series about loggers and ice truckers.
Shit, Thats 100% Accurate. In america 99% of the bullshit is about the future
Who DOESN'T read the Bible these days?
Me.
Well, today they had Life After People and The Universe on. Those are 2 pretty good shows.
If you wake up early, junkyard wars in on the science channel sometimes :3:
I love that show. :buddy:
mmmm yeah.
Man Vs. Food.
The food he eats usually looks nasty and I guess it's ok once in a while but I like Bizarre Foods and Bourdain even if he is a gigantic faggot.
Well, today they had Life After People and The Universe on. Those are 2 pretty good shows.
Life After People should have died after the first episode because that's all they needed and the Universe is shit compared to The Cosmos.
Hitler Channel was way better. I wish they would show more shows about The Renaissance and The Dark Ages. Not some shit about prophecies and religion but about the politics, the wars and the technology of the time.

mail call! Hooah!
We should boycott the history channel for not going with us on our athiest rage.
They've been showing war documentaries for 15 years. They got bored of it.
i like that one show lockdown that they show now and then
Also on weekends they have Lock 'n Load with R. Lee Ermey.
Fuck yeah.
"I'm gonna start a petition to tell a company how to spend their time and money."
Though I agree that it should probably be called the Pseudo-History Channel, can't really complain; it is entertaining.
I'm tired of The Learning Channel treating reality shows as educational content.
What do I learn from John and Kate Plus 8 or 18 Kids and Counting?
Aliens are real.
We've got people who sometimes wear labcoats, and a guy who wears a leather jacket and sunglasses regardless of the weather and they all say aliens are real.
IT'S HISTORY
I thought that was the Hitler Channel.

You mean the show about prison? I believe that's on MSNBC.
