Trailer song. I loved the first one, I hope I'll love this one just as much.
YES!! I'm really looking forward to this. Metro 2033 was incredible
DA BEST GUN IN THE VHUURLD!
Why would he be traveling with Khan anyway? Looks good so far though- the first one is definately one of, if not the best singleplayer games I've ever played (in my opinion)
Artyom is traveling with Kahn because they're both rangers. Artyom probably was recruited by Kahn after 2033.
Artyom is traveling with Kahn because they're both rangers. Artyom probably was recruited by Kahn after 2033.
What? Khan isn't a ranger. At least, it never said he was in the book or the game.. or am I forgetting something?
Man I'll buy this but won't play till I read the book :/ I don't want to ruin such a hopefully masterpiece as that :S
I thought he was a ranger. Or at least have about as much skill as one.
Pretty sure he's just a random traveler in the metro, but I havent read the book in awhile.
Didn't finish the first one, librarians are so scary
My first go playing it was Ranger Hardcore mode, Game was mad easy, Just used throwing knifes and pegged them at the librarians ankles and face. Easy.
I love the books so much. The game is top notch. The engine is very awesome, and the music, oh god the OST for 2033 was so amazing... [editline]1st June 2011[/editline] Also, what the fuck is this?
Artyom is traveling with Kahn because they're both rangers. Artyom probably was recruited by Kahn after 2033.
Nononono, Khan is the old guy, the ranger is called something else i think it was Miller.. was it?
Looks pretty good, just gotta finish the first Metro sometime
Nononono, Khan is the old guy, the ranger is called something else i think it was Miller.. was it?
Hunter is the main Ranger in the series and game who is sent out from Exhibition to alert Polis of the Dark Ones. He's captured or killed by them, probably. We don't know, it's never really explained, except that Hunter ended up in the Dark Ones' realm, and does combat with them. Kahn wasn't a Ranger, or at least not in the books. I don't think he was in the game, either, but they never said for certain. I'm pretty sure that in both he was just a mystic who was communicating Hunter's message from the Dark Ones' realm. Miller was the leader of the Ranger in Polis City, and helped Artyom's cause.
If I haven't played Metro 2033 will I be missing anything?
If I haven't played Metro 2033 will I be missing anything?
A great game.
If I haven't played Metro 2033 will I be missing anything?
Other than the experience of an awesome game, from what I understand, no.

Portishead - Machine Gun

im actually pretty disturbed by this.
I am very psyched for this, even though it is a year from release. I greatly enjoyed Metro 2033, even with its minor flaws, it was a fantastic game. Only things I hope they fix are the AIs, as well as the collision of models, especially the wood models. CLACK CLACK CLACK.
very interesting choice of music
This trailer tingles my jinglies.
I'm currently reading the Metro 2033 novel, it's amazingly good. It's nice to have something that takes a different approach to the story, gives more of a in-depth look on certain things, like Artyom's life, and what the other stations are like.

If you don't even feel sad at that part, you have no soul.

Ah, I see that it's in Moscow. You can easily see Moscow University depicted in one of the screenshots.
The game is actually based off the book..
Your point? It doesn't follow it exactly..
At first I was happy because there's a new Metro game coming out. Now I am happy because the developers listen to Portishead too. :buddy:
