Off to Japan in 2 weeks so I know what food to expect :)
Living in America and growing up on Middle Eastern food, we have just about all of that food. Laban is in every supermarket or minimart. And don't act like every fucking American has McDonalds or something for every meal, because unless you don't have the time to eat or cook a real meal, you'll barely ever eat out.
American bashing in a food thread? Who would've thought? Also, Egyptians are all terrorists.
That Töltött paprika shit is the best food ever. Also fried eggplant = kickass also
The soup uses coconut oil. Not very good for people who are concern of their health. The full English Look at this heart attack, this delicious heart attack, and remember that this is considered breakfast.
Just had to dispel these two myths. Couldn't help myself. 1. Cococnut oil is one of the most misunderstood food items in the world. Yes it is high in fat (BTW, people may find this hard to believe, as it goes against what the popular media tells them -.-, but Dietary fats are NOT bad for you), but majority of it's "saturated" fats are Medium-Chain Triglycerides, which are extremely healthy for you and will probably actually contribute to you getting leaner, not fatter. Dietary fat =/= bodyfat. 2. Once again, NATURAL DIETARY FATS FOUND IN STUFF LIKE EGGS AND MEATS ARE NOT BAD FOR YOU. INFACT, THEY ARE FUCKING DAMN GOOD FOR YOU. Unless the cook is dumping your eggs and bacon in a cup of fucking deep fry oil, the eggs and bacon are good for you. Dietary Cholesterol (once again contray to what the TV would have you believe) is actually extremely good for you, and supports the production of several important growth hormones, such as Tesosterone (y'know, that thing that makes you a man). The only thing I'd be worried about on a Full english breakfest is the Sausages (crap quality meat chucked in with cereal, soy protein and god knows what else, avoid it) and/or Hash Browns (Deep fried carbs -> this is how you get fat).
This thread is making my browser cry

Branston Pickle This complements most sandwiches, this food itself is awesome for surviving the Pickle crisis of 2004 (No, I'm not joking.) where are fire destroyed the factory where this awesome stuff is produced, cutting the stocks and increasing the price of pickle, but the company bounced back, and now also makes ketchup and brown sauce, your country may have pickle, but it's not Branston Pickle. Deep fried mars bar. I've never had one of these, but it started in Scotland and it's strange enough that I had to list it here. We really haven't got much... I may add more later. That is all for today. Maybe I could get more info and shit from angelangel, but I'm tired. :( HOW ABOUT SOME HUNGARIAN FOOD, MAGGOTS Palacsinta Basically, these are super-thin pancakes, often made into tall cakes filled with jam or pudding as dessert or túró (cheese paste) and other savory fillings. They're generally smoked, and eaten as cold-cuts or inside certain soups and stews. Paprikás krumpli Some people refer to these stews as goulash. The soup itself is spicy, flavored with Paprika and fish parts (heads, tails, etc, but these are strained out). The fish in the soup is generally carp, though any kind of fish will do, really. And who can forget... unicum. (added for the lols) A nice, cold, bottle of unicum. Delicious! It's a traditional alcoholic digestif, drunk to aid in digestion, bitter in taste and made from herbs and citrus dissolved in alcohol. HERE COMES THE BEST PART OF THE THREAD! FINNISH FOOD! Karelian Pastry! These fuckers are made of thin rye crust with a rice filling! Can be made of Potato, wheat, rye or milk. Traditional Beverage Koskenkorva Comes in many different flavours and tastes godly! Mexican cuisine time gentlemen First up, we have Menudo Menudo is a type of soup. This type of soup is made with tripe, which is made of edible entrails from various farm animals, yummy. This dish is typically served during family reunions, and other social gatherings. Typical condiments added to menudo are dried oregano, epazote, ground chile flakes, lime juice, fresh cilantro and chopped onion. Next up, Guacamole Guacamole is an avocado based dip, served along chips, nachos, and similar snacks. Now it's time for a drink, Jamaica, or Hibiscus Tea Jamaica in Latin America is a cheap drink to come by ; it's often made from fresh juices or extracts. Jamaica has a taste similar to cranberry. We have another drink, the Margarita The Margarita is one of the most common tequila-based cocktail, made with tequila mixed with triple sec, which is an orange-flavor liqueur and lime or lemon juice, salt is often put around the rim of the glass. Margaritas also have other varieties of flavored liqueurs such as blue curaçao. Now for a dish I'm pretty sure everyone's heard about, the Taco The Taco is a traditional Mexican dish made out of a folded maize or wheat tortilla. A taco can be filled with practically any meat, fish, shellfish, vegetable, cheese or anything that fits on a tortilla, allowing for great versatility and variety. Forget the spoons and forks, this beast is eaten right out of your hand. Now for our last dish, NACHOS Nachos are tortilla chips that can serve lots of purposes, they can act as a spoon, or a fork, or you can just thrust them into your dip and nom nom away. Nachos are most commonly served with melted, savory cheese, and spicy jalapeño peppers. Mmmm. So go out and order a plate of tacos, with a side order of nachos, and gulp it down with a sweet margarita. Go on, get. You won't regret it. I apologize for the huge pictures, it's late so I kinda rushed it. This here is a thread about what we Terrorists eat. Maybe I can teach you WESTERN SCUM how to eat properly. Who knows, maybe we'll stop calling you FAT AMERICANS if you stop being such a FAT AMERICAN who eats NOTHING BUT MCDONALDS and listen to this guide. 1. BREAKFAST Let us establish the basics here. This, in English, is called PITA BREAD. It is obligatory that any Arabian breakfast be eaten with this, and if it isn't then it is not Arabian. It can usually be bought at Syrian Markets. (Well, they're mostly Syrian because last time I was in Canada all the ones in town were all Syrian. There's a possibility that they might be sold at the Pakistani/Indian stores because I'm pretty sure they love it too. But if you live in Canada, Sobey's will probably have it. They come in different varieties, like Toast (Except they never come with Blueberries inside them). Whole-Wheat, etc. Now we usually like to tear out a piece, maybe about the size of an inch, and then "scoop" out the food. Because of this, most foods we eat with this are rarely solid, or at most in chunks. THINGS WE LIKE TO EAT PITA BREAD WITH You see, we don't simply eat it without anything. We like eating it with things like Mashed Fava Beans, Diced Feta-Cheese with Tomatoes, Tuna, and sometimes Honey/Molasses with Cream. (Although it tastes better with an alternative, which I will discuss later) Mashed Fava Beans I'm pretty sure they originated from Turkey, but they're widely known and eaten in the Middle Eastern world. It's pronounced "Fool" in Arabic, and it comes in many different varieties. It can be spicy, it can have chopped vegetables in it, they can have different colors, sometimes they mash additional things like Lentil (Is that how it's spelled?) seeds, kidney beans, etc. Making it is very simple, actually. They're usually sold in cans. (But sometimes they aren't and are alot more complicated to make. Just take out the beans and put them on a plate, mash them with a fork or something, add any other shit (like Olive Oil, Chopped Vegetables, Hot Sauce (But then it wouldn't be a breakfast)). Then just stuff it in a microwave. Oh and, you should microwave the Pita Bread, as well, but only a little bit so its nice and warm. You can also just spread this shit on the bread an make a wrap. Be sure to put in some Falafel (Wait, but this is breakfast) Diced Feta-Cheese with Tomatoes This is a bit easier to find its ingredients in the FILTHY Western world. You can probably find them at your local grocery stores. First, you slice off thick slice of the cheese, and then mash it with a fork. Then dice up some Tomatoes, sprinkle it on, maybe put some Olive Oil, and eat it. Don't Microwave it, you idiot. Only the bread. Tuna The ingredients for this are also easier to find. Just open a can of tuna, put it on a plate, mash it with a fork, pour maybe some Olive Oil/Vinegar, preferably dice some vegetables in it, and just eat it. (Don't microwave that, either) Honey/Molasses with Cream This is mostly a dessert, and you shouldn't eat too much of this shit or you'll grow EVEN FATTER. Just get maybe a spoon of Cream (Not the cheesy one) and pour some Molasses or Honey on it. (Do NOT microwave it. How many times must I say that?) OTHER SHIT WE LIKE EATING FOR BREAKFAST (And as a snack) Falafel This shit is fucking mouth watering. Sometimes we eat it with the "Fool". Basically we get some of the Fava Beans, grind them in a blender, roll them into balls and then fry them. This can be eaten at any time of day, really. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, etc. Fried Eggplant Just get an eggplant, slice it, then fry it. Put some salt on it, and eat it. Taste's great. This can be eaten at any time of day, really. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, etc. 2. STUFF WE EAT FOR LUNCH Sadly, I rarely cook anything fancy, and I don't really know how to cook just about all of these. All I can do is just show you pics, a name, and the random rambling about how fucking awesome it tastes. "Kabsah" Saudis, Kuwatis, and just about anyone who wears that strange hat usually love this. Though we're Egyptian, we still eat it occasionally, and it doesn't taste that bad. But sometimes sometimes they make it with camel meat. Never tasted that before, though. "Mah-Shi" (Cabbage Rolls) We (Egyptians) tend to eat this regularily. I'm pretty sure that Iraqis and Palestinians eat it too (or atleast, USED to eat it, before you AMERICAN PIGS came in and fucked shit up). We usually stuff it with rice, and occasionally ground meat. I prefer the next thing over this, though. Grape-Leaf Rolls This shit tastes fucking awesome. It's just like Cabbage Rolls, but instead of Cabbage leaves we use Grape Leaves. Hummus Dip any thing that's barbequed in this shit. I'm sure its pretty famous in the FILTHY Western world. You can also spread this inside sandwich-wraps. (Like with Falafel) "Shawarma" This thing is fucking amazing. You know, Pita Bread isn't ONLY for breakfast. We make little sandwich wraps with it, too. The meat in the sandwich is usually shaved off from some big fat slab of lamb, goat, chicken, turkey, or beef. The classic shawarma combination is pita bread, tomato and cucumber, and then the meat. Then we like putting shit like mayonaise and other condoms, Hummus, pickles, etc. "Sambosa" These aren't Middle-Eastern. But we still love em, though. You see, we commonly eat this on Ramadan. That's right. It's like Christmas except TERRORISTS ONLY. Basically it's just fried (or possibly baked) pastry with cheese/chilli/meat/any combination of the three stuffed inside it. Let me tell you a little story. It was the first night of Ramadan. I was eager to eat the crunchy thing. Then to my demise, I saw that my wife didn't make any. SO I FUCKING BEAT HER SENSELESS LIKE ANY SELF-RESPECTING ARAB WOULD. I really can't think of any more food at the moment. I'll add some more later. 3.SHIT WE DRINK I'm not going to put much, here. But there's just one little thing, that deserves a whole section just for it. It's called Laban Honestly, I've never found this in Canada, and it's probably not in the USA as well. You guys are missing out on possibly the best form milk can take on. It's like . . . drinkable yogurt (Kinda) except its more milky . . . ish.
