i dont think that's possible. nobody can admire something they hate.
I can understand someone not liking cloud atlas because it's quite long and the storylines might not appeal to you, or maybe you thought the acting was bad. But it does something really unique and difficult by interweaving all the storylines and trying to make one coherent film of it. And they succeeded, I can't understand how you can't at least admire that. And in general admiring something that you don't like isn't impossible at all. Think atom bombs or the opposing sports team that's playing unbelievably well.
I think it's mostly a case of Rusty having very strong opinions on everything and zero tolerance.
you say that like its a bad thing
I think it's mostly a case of Rusty having very strong opinions on everything and zero tolerance.
who doesn't have a strong opinion these days.. rusty's like them critics who dive into movies without really having a real desire to see it.
1) The Master 2) Moonrise Kingdom 3) Django's Unchained 4) Skyfall 5) Killer Joe
still haven't seen Master :-( dumb release in UK, was shown ONCE a week here at a cinema I go to. Awful.
redundant statement of the year
Doesnt make it any less true though People go on and on.about how ambitious cloud atlas was but they fail to realize that it dont mean shit if the film itself cant handle its own goals I dont think its a bad film, just messy and ridiculous. It had potential. It just couldnt pull off anything it aimed to do, besides entertain on a base level
just messy and ridiculous.
by this you mean "disjointed" right?
sure whatever its the same goddamn thing
just making sure you had the same cliched opinion that's all :-)
you know putting a smiley face doesn't make your post any less retarded having an opinion shared by many others isn't "cliched" and its starting to sound like the only opinions you'll allow yourself to have are those that go against the norm which is dumb as fuck maybe a lot of people have that opinion because they're right? [editline]13th January 2013[/editline] ak'z you are literally one of the worst posters in this subforum I'm just gonna say that outright you never have any kind of real substance to back up your arguments you always just put a smiley face and some pretentious ass remark about "cliched opinions" Do you have anything of importance to say, ever? I'm asking a serious question here. Have you ever said anything that actually means jack shit in this subforum? [editline]13th January 2013[/editline] :8=D)~~~~~~~
yes [editline]13th January 2013[/editline] bruce willis pls dont hurt me
doubt it
maybe a lot of people have that opinion because they're right?
maybe the ones who like it are pretentious asses am i right? :-]
no you goon there's nothing WRONG with liking that movie you're implying my opinion's stupid because a lot of other people have it
Dude I'm just hearing the same words being thrown around. you can rant all you want, doesn't stop the same foolishness spirting out. Rather than making vague rants and how I'm "going against the norm", why don't you take a seat and chill.
why don't you stop having stupid opinions that make no sense
I don't want to order them, but Wreck-It-Ralph, Looper, Avengers, Hobbit, Dark Knight Rises, and Skyfall were all fantastic movies
why dont you stop saying stupid shit and then flat out refusing to back it up with anything at all [editline]13th January 2013[/editline] hell let's take it further, why don't you just stop posting
you're implying my opinion's stupid because a lot of other people have it
yeah but it was clearly a joke...

I don't have any one favorite, but the ones that stand out in my mind are Skyfall, Looper, Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, and The Hobbit. Still have yet to see Les Miserables, Django Unchained, Dredd, Seven Psychopaths, or Flight. I missed some good ones this year...
