I don't see why this is a rare thing
There is something about most parents and video games that just doesn't click, its like they refuse all the knowledge and don't want anything to do with it
My dad will only touch games like UFC or moterbike racing, and that is only a once a year thing, my mom can't even remember what the xbox is called or any game ever
My friends dad couldn't quite master the xbox controls of using the move stick and the look around stick at the same time
It boggles the mind how normal functioning adults can be so crap at something so simple

It'll be more natural to you or I because (I'm going to assume) we've both been playing games since a young age. It's easier to learn when you're young.
My dad kicks my ass at Quake III Arena so I wonder if he would enjoy Portal 2 with me. He did after all play San Andreas non-stop years ago and taught me all about how cars give you sex appeal.
