I'll probably end up seeing this, i go to see shitty horror films for fun with a bunch of friends. when it comes out, if the thread is still up i'll be around to say how bad it really is.
So... she kills herself, and vows revenge on those who wronged her in the first place by slowly torturing them (and the audience) to death? ...and not a single one of the people at their computer screen watching some fat kid get turned into a smoothie even thinks to run away from the house as fast as possible? Maybe call the cops? Or Ghostbusters? At the very least it doesn't look likes it's a "jump scare" movie. But then again, it doesn't look scary at all from the trailer.
i'm gonna be honest though, I find the premise cool enough (only one view with the skype multiconvo, shit happens etc, although the ghost thingy is fucking stupid) but the execution is fucking horrendous judging from the trailer
fat dude saw that he finally had a chance to put his hand in a blender on camera
fat dude saw that he finally had a chance to put his hand in blender on camera
he could totally fuck his own mlp-doll on cam and blame the ghost to get away with it
This seems more like a sinister revenge film then horror
To be honest I think the fact that the entire movie takes place on the monitor of a computer is pretty fuckin' rad
according to mtv:

Also, the entire film takes place on one character’s computer screen, so that’s cool.

So, translation; This entire thing was made by some director's twat children who wanted to become populate. I mean come on, besides the obvious $5 spent on makeup for the dead guy, which seems a waste anyways as she doesn't do much in the trailer besides drop dead for exposition, then it really seems like this video was made up on the spot by someone who's really just cashing in.
There was a movie like this called The Den (it only took place on one computer screen and a lot of skype calls were involved) except it didn't involve ghosts. It was bad, but not as bad as this looks to be.
i'm gonna be honest though, I find the premise cool enough (only one view with the skype multiconvo, shit happens etc, although the ghost thingy is fucking stupid) but the execution is fucking horrendous judging from the trailer
Yeah, if the whole thing wasn't so retarded. As others have said, she's mad that some people posted her getting drunk at a party? Then she kills herself for it? That's your fault lady, for fuck sake. And the characters look horrendous. Horror movies don't fucking work unless you like the protagonist, because that way there is a sense of dread and fear because you want that person to make it out alive. If all your characters are douchebags then what is the point? You're just going to the movies to watch people die, and that is fucked up.
Such reputable reviewers as Shocktilyoudrop.com And Shocktilyoudrop.com Couldn't spend the money on actually making the movie, couldn't spend the money on getting actual reviews. How much does catering cost for a skype call? Not counting whatever came out of the blender obviously.
I went to the comments expecting the classic youtuber: "It was the dumb slut's own fault for being a slut" but instead I got the tumblr response: "People are actually bullied to death online and they make a film about it what's wrong with this generation" Jesus that was weird.

Its front cover was full of bogus "reviews" that were praising it in every way. However, none of the Google image -results have those reviews, I'll need to snap a picture of it one day. :v:
This look hilarious! I want to see it!
send this video to 10 friends or she will haunt your skype
Why didn't they run a virus scan while talking on skype?
If anyone I know goes to see this, they can consider themselves... Unfriended
Fun fact, this is actually a renamed and TV-Edited version of a film that's already out called Cybernatural which was released last July :v:
Off topic, but "walk away from the screen" isn't really the point, it doesn't make the stuff people say unsaid. You might as well tell a real-life bully victim to just close their ears. Not that it wasn't partly her own fault or that everything counts as "cyberbullying" [editline]edit[/editline] wikipedia says the film got positive reception at fantasia festival, and a couple awards
Seems like a good concept and all. Finally something different. But then it's a bit... overly... horror-genre'd and ruined
Why didn't they run a virus scan while talking on skype?
the climax of the movie is the ghost getting defeated by avast antivirus
Oh god, this has to be the worst thing i've ever seen. Redlettermedia has to do a review of this "movie" when it comes out.
the ghost had better use more kitchen appliances to torture people. where are the toasters? where are the french presses?
Didn't this movie used to have a different equally stupid name? Either that or someone else mad e amovie about the EXACT SAME THING.
the ghost had better use more kitchen appliances to torture people. where are the toasters? where are the french presses?
turns out the ghost is george foreman
but what would happen if they just turned the pc off :v
I figured out the real plot and the twist ending. [sp]Dead girl is dead cause she suicided after a vid of her rape got uploaded on the internet. her friends found out who did it and get them in a group skype call to pull the revenge prank of the century, pretending to be hacked, forced to suicide etc. as seen in the trailer. The 1 what uploaded the video is so scared and guilty that they suicide before they figure out it wasn't real. My guess is that the last girl alive as seen near the end of the trailer is the 1 who uploaded the vid and who is forced to suicide[/sp] There now nobody has to watch the movie.
I was looking at the Wikipedia page.
Most Innovative Film at the Fantasia Film Festival (2014, won)
Look out Peter Jackson and James Cameron, because clearly this film is innovating the film industry more than you could ever hope to.
"Maybe it's Laura..." Comedy gold! :D Also, one of the kids (in their late twenties) in the skype call is obviously the killer and you will probably see him/her being killed throughout the movie but in the end: surprise, surprise, it was him/her all along. :-/
Hey I recognize that dude.
He was also in Terri, which is a really good movie with John C Riley.
