holy shit another maltese person on the forums BTW its actually 16, was there last year and ordered beers at 16, no problems. Going again next year :)
Things changed. It's 17 now. You can still go to most places and buy at any age though. They don't really care.
Really? I thought it was 18 in USA. Is it hard to get hold of it if you're underage, or is it easy enough where you live?
Find friend that is 21 (or friends gf...thats what I did), give them money, PROFIT! It was 18 till some point in the 70s I think
18, but you can drink beer and wine with a meal if you're with someone over 18.
16 for beer and such, 18 for anything that has a higher alcohol level than 15%

18. 16 to get served lager in a pub if the person buying is 18 + you have to buy a meal. :v:
18 for beer and other drinks under 25% for drinks over that, 21.
18 to buy in the UK and it is also illegal to buy on behalf of someone under 18, however you can drink alcohol from age 5 in your own home with permission and under the supervision of your parents. This law is only there so you can allow your child to have a glass of champagne at new year for example, if you let your 5 year old get drunk every night it will fall under child abuse.
Buying age 21. Drinking age, I don't think there is any.
Buying age 18, no drinking age.
18, only three weeks to go till I can buy legally. Cant believe the age is 21 in the US. Wtf happened there?
Our country's all cocked up in my opinion. You can drive at 16 (15 with a learner's permit and an adult in the passenger's seat), you become a legal adult at 18, yet you can't drink until you're 21.
18 to go to clubs etc. also allowed to buy cigarettes. 20-21 to buy your own alcohol.
You can buy at 16 and drink at 16 (light beer atleast) if you want heavy beer like Vodka you need to be 18
In Australia it's 10+ if you are drinking either in private or at a resturaunt with parents/gaurdians, but 18 to buy, and is illegal to sell or supply to minors. With cigarettes it's any age to smoke but 18 to buy, and again selling to minors could result in a large fine.
You can have one drink in the company of a legal guardian (not sibling or someone under 25 I think) if you're at a restaurant or pub.
I used to hate not being able to drink when I was 16 / 17, but now I'm over 18 I'm glad the bars and clubs aren't full of 16 year olds
18 I guess, I dont drink.
You can have one drink in the company of a legal guardian (not sibling or someone under 25 I think) if you're at a restaurant or pub.
And I'm pretty sure it's 15+ in private or under parental supervision, not 10+
18, but it's fairly lenient where I live.
I think it's 18 the rest of Canada though most kids in my school started drinking around 14-15, And it's 16 in Quebec.
Buying 18, no drinking - Israel.
21, but everyone except me and my best friend started at 14.
There's no drinking age in Denmark, and since drinking until you pass out is pretty much the national sport I don't see us getting one in the near future.
18 to drink, for bars, clubs, lighter alcohol (under 3.5%) e.t.c, but 20 to buy from Systembolaget (state-owned monopoly on stronger alcoholic products).
21 for systembolaget.
No drinking age here, the buying age is 18. It's really easy to get hold of it if your'e underage though. The kids in the playground under my house that caused a lot of noise through their entire summer vacation can confirm that.
21 for systembolaget.
No, twenty.
16 here, and you can also buy at 16.

18 to purchase, drinking with a parent's supervision age is 13 because all Jewish holidays involve getting completely smashed.
OH MY GOD I LOVE PONIES
So odd, i'm watching the Winter wrap up episode of MLP. Although i have no idea what this has to do with drinking.
