Banning everyone from posting loss because of a few low effort posts is a miscarriage of justice.
"few"
Compared to now, it's nothing. The bans severely reduced the amount of low effort lossposts

Good reason why the ban is fucking bullshit, that was pretty clever and well made (even though the ban spoiled it)
Edit: Not blaming Kiwi for this tho
I would like to know if a Main Thread of a game is 2 years old [or less?], can I create a new one?
Specifically I want to create a new "Indivisible" Main Thread, cause of the Backers Version of the game coming soon.
Can I?
Yes, if the old thread is outdated and the original poster hasn't made an effort to keep it up to date.

the loss bans at this point are more obnoxious than the loss memes

They shouldn't be ban worthy if it's something original/creative like this tbh
rip ironman your long-ass posts will not be forgotten
loss = ban is a staple of this forum, get outta here w that whiny crap
Yes it was a fucking stupid thing to say, I understand that sort of crap won't be tolerated and the severity of what he said, but I think ironman17 deserves a chance to redeem himself, call me soft, but he's been here since 2006, made a shit tonne of posts and only now made a big big mistake.
I know this won't change anything, I just feel sorry for him.
Who is gwilty? Is he Garry's first born?
I will always know him as the guy that banned me from the Gmod ToyBox because I gave a creator a compliment
That was a fucking terrible ban, the last ban ironman17 got was a 1 day ban 3 months ago, and prior to that their last ban was over 3 years ago. Why perma right off the bat? Aren't bans supposed to be warnings? I don't see how a perma achieves that.
What's the deal with this Ironman guy?

He was talking about assassination though, which could be interpreted as attempted murder. But given the fact I wasn't pbanned for the stupid things I've said out of anger, I don't think he deserves to be pbanned.
What's the deal with this Ironman guy?
He had a minor freakout in a recent thread about the FCC, and ended up advocating for/detailing a plot for how one would carry out a terrorist attack in retaliation to the current major powers.
I understand, and even agree that the permaban with no recourse seems harsh, but the fact stands that what he did crossed a very real red line that Facepunch has to have very little tolerance for. Consequentially, I begrudgingly agree with that ban.
In particular, if Facepunch was aware of what he wrote, and failed to make it abundantly clear that it was not acceptable in any way, shape or form, then either he or another person acted on those ideas, it would pose a tremendous legal clusterfuck that Facepunch would not win. That's without even discussing whether or not those comments themselves toe the line of criminal.
Edit: And yeah, he's been making increasingly more, let's say, extreme statements over the course of the past half year if you look at his post history.

Repetitive calls for "action" usually entailing weirdly descriptive ways of violently overthrowing politicians. Check his RC thread there's a handful of examples.

Garry already had the FBI/Secret Service here once iirc, and that was at a time of relative stability within the US. I'm sure they would be unhappy to have to show up a second time.

Again.
Didn't Garry get questioned by the gooberment when someone made a quip about pressure cookers after the Boston Bombing?

Iirc it was a really poorly made "joke" threat about Obama and US services got really really twitchy
I think ironman is just a guy who really likes to write and fantasize about things. Still, this is a pretty clear line he's crossed here
I was thinking go directly for the executives and the CEOs, the people at the beating heart and brainstem of the problem, then lay low for a very long time. Then, when new people take their places, hope that they don't fuck up like their predecessors, because if they DO, you're probably going to have to repeat the cycle over and OVER and OVER, and keep on repeating it until future executives do what's best for humanity INSTEAD of their shareholders.
And of course, you'd need a lot of people doing this in a coordinated fashion, enacting an absolutely massive surgical attack that goes straight for the brain and heart while leaving the rest of the body intact. Which is probably never going to happen, despite the notion that it really REALLY should, to send a stern warning to anyone who's just in it for the money.
Though there's also the matter of potentially MASSIVE retaliation if such a plan even succeeded. For a coordinated execution/assassination campaign like that, you would attract the attention of the entire military, not just SWAT and the FBI. Hell, it would probably drag the entirety of NATO into the situation if worst comes to worst. And in order to survive against such a massive conglomerate of militaries, you would probably need an army as large as, if not even larger than, the collective military strength of NATO. Which, indeed, would be borderline impossible to raise in such a small amount of time.
No one should need to be warned that this isn't ok
the loss bans at this point are more obnoxious than the loss memes
My favorite one was the one that the ban reason was "Loss?" Like what the fuck is that lmao, how are you questioning yourself while giving the ban? (And it wasn't loss at all, it was just a 4 squared pic, but 4 squared pics/comics have gave everyone around the internet PTSD already)
I actually like the Loss.jpg ban in LMAO pics - not because it was overused or because I dislike the meme, but because it adds to the humor by seeing how clever/sneaky people can get in trying to sneak it in (but only if it's genuinely clever, such as the Hospital 4Chan story or the one time somebody made a version of Loss with math equations - generic shitpost variants of Loss.jpg aren't as funny). Seeing people post sneaky/clever versions of Loss wouldn't be the same if the risk wasn't there.

Its been a thing for a yearish? Maybe two? Hardly a staple

Zero tolerance for advocating terrorist attacks. When you're talking about establishing terror cells to assassinate politicians and CEOs, you don't get a second chance. The shit he was writing in there could be even potentially be grounds for felony charges, for God's sake. Facepunch does not exist to play host to violent extremism.
[editline]/[/editline]
For what it's worth, I of course don't believe that he's actually going to follow through on that stuff. Those are not the kind of statements we can just tolerate, however.
Ohh, it was set to "Limit usage of Visitor Messages to Contacts and Moderators" I don't even remember turning that on.
I had to turn mine on after people got upset at me trying to defend Muslims within the context of discrimination and claims that they have no culture.
