Uh oh
It'll be glorious
I'm personally not liking the other's avatar change option unless it's either just a thing where "Hey, this dude wanted you to have an increased avatar size limit for whatever reason, you can put in a bigger avatar now." or both sides have to agree on the image. Leave fucking around with other people to titles.
Changing another person's avatar would at least need a time limit to it, like they're stuck with it for a week or two or some such ~imo~ otherwise yea that'd be hilarious
No, feel free to discuss. I'm thinking the following options; Own title change Own name change Own upgrade to Gold Other's title change Other's upgrade to Gold Own avatar change (unknown size, nothing silly) Other's avatar change (same size limits as above) Deletion of own account & posts (granted at my discretion) Moderators are exempt from the title and avatar changes. The script runs every 15 minutes or so, it will get locked the next time it runs
The post removal and account removal can't be at your discretion for users in the UK and EU because of new laws coming in for the UK giving people the right to have all their content removed from social media sites and in the EU by extension of their "right to be forgotten"

If NSFW avatars are against the rules, and someone pays to change someone's avatar to a big ol' penis, who would get banned? :v:
If NSFW avatars are against the rules, and someone pays to change someone's avatar to a big ol' penis, who would get banned? :v:
Kiwi.
wait, does this mean we're going to have to pay to change our own avatars now?
Other's avatar change (same size limits as above)
Mmmm not too sure about this one? Unless you guys will do a SA and enforce a 24 hour grace period on larger avatar purchases for that user, where it cannot be changed by anyone until 24 hours later. And on the topic of titles and avatars; what's stopping a new Conna from happening? Some people have a stupid amount of money they want to waste to fuck with others on the forums. Funny, but then you have the same large obnoxious fuckoff title with a seizure inducing avatar on like fifty users. [editline]24th August 2017[/editline]
wait, does this mean we're going to have to pay to change our own avatars now?
Only for larger avatars.
I hope buying other peoples titles does not return but maybe i'm just really biased about that.
I hope buying other peoples titles does not return but maybe i'm just really biased about that.
You have my condolences for the pain it wrought you.
The post removal and account removal can't be at your discretion for users in the UK and EU because of new laws coming in for the UK giving people the right to have all their content removed from social media sites and in the EU by extension of their "right to be forgotten"
Until that happens, I remain sceptical. Under the current UK definition of personal data, it is only data that can be used to identify someone. This would not force us to delete people's posts or account, only posts that can identify people (I.E doxxing, which we already remove)
I hope buying other peoples titles does not return but maybe i'm just really biased about that.
Never forgett
My personal opinion is that though I'm sure that noone hates me, at least to the degree where they want to spend money on me, I'm still not comfortable with allowing others to change peoples' titles and avatars.
Never forgett
I hate custom titles specifically because of titles like this. You're ruining my browsing experience with this obnoxious, page-stretching bullshit! It takes me twice as long to scroll down the page!
My personal opinion is that though I'm sure that noone hates me, at least to the degree where they want to spend money on me, I'm still not comfortable with allowing others to change peoples' titles and avatars.
Maybe just have it able to be accepted or declined by the recipient.
I hate custom titles specifically because of titles like this. You're ruining my browsing experience with this obnoxious, page-stretching bullshit! It takes me twice as long to scroll down the page!
I got reminded of someone else who had also a giant red letters title. He still has it lmao
How come you can view OIFY when youre banned but not fast threads
I hate custom titles specifically because of titles like this. You're ruining my browsing experience with this obnoxious, page-stretching bullshit! It takes me twice as long to scroll down the page!
Why can't you just disable font sizes that are too big?
Tbh I kind of liked the changing others titles. It made you realize that person had a name for themselves in the community, usually negative. Also I really fucking want gold but idk if you can even get it with postcount anymore and if I'll ever hit it in time. I normally only lurk
when is general disruption coming back
I really miss GDi. I know it was a disaster since unregistereds started posting CP, but it was a really cool alternative to OIFY that everyone could use. The offshoot forum was a very bad experiment, though :v:
We talking about gigantic titles? Amaurus still has that gigantic link title, but sadly Dropbox 404'd his link RIP. Most of you probably remember what it linked to.

Most of these look cool but I really don't like the paying to change your own avatar thing. Being able to change your own avatar when you want without forking over cash is a basic expectation I have of any forum.
I'm pretty sure it's in reference to buying an extra large avatar, but some more clarification would be nice
Maybe you can pull a circa 2005 cellphone carrier and charge 10 cents per post
I'm pretty sure it's in reference to buying an extra large avatar, but some more clarification would be nice
I think around 120x240 would be nice, keeping the 1:2 ratio.
Changing other people's names, huh? I'll wake up one day to find myself being logged off because someone paid fifty bucks to change my name into assface
Moderators are exempt from the title and avatar changes.
There goes my interest. Why not come up with an idea where you aren't afraid of the results? Anything you wouldn't want done to you, you shouldn't allow people to do to others, just because they gave you money to do it.
Just like the US congress :)
